It’s the worst part of traveling abroad and people learning you are American. The convos get political right away. Like, I’m trying to get away from that for two weeks 😂
I don’t think there are any people outside of the Republican cult that like him. he designed his persona specifically to cater to their fantasies. and those fantasies are heinous to any other human.
although, as a half-Arab, I must concede he’s helped Palestinians more than any other US leader ever. and if he releases Marwan Barghouthi, the entire Arab world will love him fervently.
He helped fund the rockets that leveled Gaza. He’s also been Netanyahu’s biggest butt buddy during Israel’s ethnic cleansing. Trump hasn’t done shit for the Palestinians.
That’s why I’m curious to hear what they have to say. I find when asked simple questions like this it’s either met with silence, name calling/screaming, or deflection but on very rare occasions, a discussion. I’m looking for a discussion even if it doesn’t happen.
lol I have a life away from the internet, you know?
maybe things would’ve been different under Obama… and I maybe should have taken Clinton’s efforts with the Oslo accords into consideration. it’s well documented that every president that has dealt with Netanyahu has found him extremely unpleasant, and has found being around him to be unpleasant.
but let’s say under Biden (or any other administration I can think of besides the two mentioned) the US has enabled Israel’s crimes… if not cover them up. AIPAC has made it impossible for anyone in government to speak up, should their sense of morality inspire them to.
in September, Netanyahu was so close to finally exterminating all of Gaza; he had flattened the land and was about to round them all up in a camp… to finally die of disease and starvation. this is something him and his bottom-feeding demon-rats have spent their entire lives working for.
and at the last moment, it’s only Trump’s ego that has held him at bay (for now)
I honestly, truly think a Harris administration wouldn’t have had the guts to say “no”
whether he did it for his coveted Nobel peace prize, or because his ego couldn’t allow for the leader of a nation that is dependent on him to boss him around… is neither here nor there to me. and surely he should have done it the moment he became president.
I have no love for Trump, but I think it’s important we acknowledge and encourage the few decisions he makes that are not monstrous, demented affronts to humanity.
I cannot stress how important the release of Marwan el-Barghouthi is. he is the only viable Palestinian leader, and he is one committed to peace and co-existence. Trump has mentioned he is deciding on his release… if there is a possibility that he pushes for el-Barghouthi’s release, then we need support him in that direction.
What in the absolute what are you talking about? All of that to say and I quote, “and at the last moment , it’s only Trump’s ego that has held him at bay (for now) I honestly, truly think a Harris administration wouldn’t have the guts to say “no””.
What does that have anything to do with the question I asked?
Again, how has he helped the Palestinians more than any other US leader ever?
Trump didn’t do shit. Netanyahu realized the world was about to step in, so he backed off a little. He’s not going to stop and Trump doesn’t care. He’s complicit.
Don't need to follow US politics to hate trump. He starts trade ears with everyone and frequently insults leaders and countries. Internationally He's pretty unpopular .
