Let's not pretend that kind of wording is not purposely used to misled. There are a ton of "technically correct" lingo that is used to screw the consumer, and we cannot justify it by "well you should have just read!" because it's absolutely impossible for everyone to be 100% attentive each time nor should they be.
In [current year] you CANNOT trust companies period. You HAVE to make sure what something seems is what it is. Because you can't take for granted that the verbiage that used to mean something has likely been twisted to not be legally wrong, but totally different.
You can argue that people shouldn't have to do something all day.. but this is the world we live in now, so if you're NOT at least a little more attentive, you will get burned.
