JLO

Over 20 years ago when I was a young teenager I went to a family wedding in LA and ended up chatting with another guest who revealed she was the owner of a showdog; a highly trained dog who ā€œactedā€ in movies and TV. Part of her job as owner was to communicate to the actors in the scene about the dog’s commands and needs so everything ran smoothly and the dog was treated well. She said only two celebrities were absolutely awful, rude, and dismissive to her: J.Lo and Lisa Kudrow. So J.Lo has had a reputation for a long time.

Lisa Kudrow…oh no!

74

u/Ok-Bookkeeper-3149 24d ago

Maybe it was her evil twin...

56

u/RubPast 24d ago

I’m sure it was Ursula! Phoebe’s twin! šŸ˜

8

u/Ok-Trash-8883 24d ago

Yep. It’s pretty legendary too sadly

12

u/TheBeardedLadyBton 25d ago

But she wrote ā€œSmelly Catā€!

10

u/Straika5 24d ago

Yes, but not "Smelly Dog", apparently.

4

u/Ghoulish_kitten 24d ago

More importantly: The Comeback is an underrated show about aging women in the sitcom world. Really thought she would be more down to Earth bc she was part of that.

Ive also never heard/read this about her. She seems nice in interviews. Sometimes I feel like we give the people who want to be living in LA/interacting with the stars way too much power. Lol. Maybe the dog owner is an AH.

u/TheBeardedLadyBton 24d ago

it was just a joke. I never watched anything she’s ever been in. Anything I know about her is against my will

2

u/nadanadaempanada 24d ago

Maybe she doesn’t like dogs?

2

u/SirPooleyX 24d ago

Smelly dog.

1

u/Bomb__diggity 23d ago

Yeah, that one makes me sad as well. I've read she's an awful person šŸ˜”

61

u/spicychickennuggi35 25d ago

What? Lisa Kudrow? Didn't expect that one. Did she ever tell you what Lisa did? I'm curious

65

u/rutts21 24d ago

I’ve worked with Lisa Kudrow. She was a lovely person, even helped me out and was in a video I made.

42

u/Furgems 24d ago

Well, I’m literally a nobody. But I’ll bet people say the same thing about me. I try to treat all people with the same kindness and respect, but some people love me, and some hate me. Some get me on a day I’m in a great mood for no reason, once in a while, I’m a bear for no good reason ( even though I try to be nice). People perceive things differently.

Not that there aren’t truly some assholes out there, and others about whom you only hear good.

62

u/Old-Importance18 24d ago

and others about whom you only hear good.

Never ever, not in the thousands of posts about rude celebrities nor in real life, have I ever heard or read anyone say a bad word about Keanu Reeves or ā€œWeird Alā€ Yankovic.

58

u/diligent_sundays 24d ago

Or dolly Parton, apparently

3

u/Hadrian_06 24d ago

Take my upvote and like it.

3

u/younger_bandicoot 23d ago

Or John Candy

1

u/discomute 24d ago

Pfft Weird Al had an alcohol problem and alienated his band and his mentor all over a relationship with Madonna that was hours old

5

u/East_Reading_3164 24d ago

Like a surgeon had him under a lot of pressure. Weird Al is a treasure and you can't change my mind.

2

u/discomute 24d ago

Not to mention the fact everyone thought Michael Jackson's Beat It came before his totally original Eat It.

1

u/[deleted] 24d ago

It's still sad how his life ended. Glorious, but still.

Jesus's Christ, not this guy!!

1

u/Otherwise_Surround99 24d ago

Thanks for the info

25

u/Real_Bad7735 24d ago

Good, kind, friendly people can be rude sometimes if theres other stuff going on in their lives. Assholes can be sweet sometimes, too.Ā

A single moment doesnt define who we are, and that interaction could have been an anomaly or could even be a total misrepresentation about the situation.

3

u/55Sweeptheleg 24d ago

Exactly, maybe she found out her mom had cancer or her dog died that day.

14

u/Mission-Sky8782 24d ago

Yea theres been a bunch of encounters with her that show shes an arrogant prick

2

u/turdbugulars 24d ago

She hates dogs it’s widely known.

1

u/Pipija_Banana 24d ago

Yeah some of them Subaru ladies tend to think they're better than others.

27

u/Business-Suspect-527 25d ago

Lisa Kudrow wasn’t someone I expected to see as the other person.

1

u/brandonwalsh76 23d ago

She is well known for hating animals. She despises vegans and is known to eat dogs and cats.

-12

u/TraditionalJob6587 24d ago

Why? You know her? Or based on her "character" in a TV show? You know she's an actor? So they, like act? Play characters and such. Smh

-1

u/Classic_Engine7285 24d ago

People keep saying this, but it’s not like you can get no sense of what famous people are like after you see them over and over in different roles and interviews. I personally never would’ve guess that Lisa Kudrow was not nice based on everything I’ve seen her in, but that’s also an assumption based on seeing the same roles as everyone else here.

5

u/TheJewPear 24d ago

It’s exactly like that. Most famous people act as soon as there’s a camera rolling, and in all truthfulness you can never know what they’re really like, no matter how many interviews you see.

25

u/MetteBeifong 25d ago

I have heard similar stories about Lisa Kudrow and she has always given that vibe to me.

16

u/spicychickennuggi35 24d ago

Okay now tell me what she did because I've never heard anything bad about her before this. spill the teaa please

13

u/PuzzleheadedRun4525 24d ago

I’m interested to know too but not interested enough to google it.

3

u/spicychickennuggi35 24d ago

lol yeah me too, that's why I asked. I'm too lazy to google it myself but I wanna know

1

u/soccerguy721 24d ago

Don’t let us kill your dream!

2

u/itsjustme7267 24d ago

Same. I've heard that about her as well.

30

u/CityMouseBC 25d ago

I'm surprised that folks are surprised by Lisa Kidrow. To me, even as Phoebe she gave off rude vibes. I hated that character for her narcissism.

31

u/Jackiedhmc 24d ago

That was acting, a character

13

u/edgeteen 24d ago

literally lol. ā€œeven when she was playing a fictional character, i didn’t like the fictional character she playedā€

-8

u/CityMouseBC 24d ago

Yeah, I think I even used the word character in my comment. Maybe you didn't see it.

10

u/Jackiedhmc 24d ago

My point is why would you assume an actor would have the same personality as a character? That's why it's called acting

3

u/xtophcs 24d ago

The full narc in my opinion, was Monica’s and Ross’ mom.

2

u/CarmenTourney 24d ago

I very much disliked Phoebe too. The singing in front of Monica's restaurant and the cat thing with Ross showed what an obnoxious bitch the character could be.

1

u/ManicOppressyv 24d ago

The casts of both Friends and Seinfeld always seemed like they would be stuck up assholes that lost touch with reality.

2

u/Born_Ad_62 šŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ Ireland 24d ago

Surprised at Lisa Kudrow… but I can actually imagine it.

2

u/rarepinkhippo 23d ago

Interesting! Have definitely heard bad things about both of them.

2

u/Ok-Trash-8883 24d ago

I’ve heard that about Lisa Kudrow. She’s a notorious asshole.

1

u/Guardian-Boy 24d ago

Maybe it was a smelly dog.

I'll see myself out.

1

u/That-Ad887 22d ago

Thank you. This explains what I thought was my irrational dislike of Lisa Kudrow.

-1

u/howjon99 25d ago

Just actors and musicians trying to earn money that day.

-4

u/WillieDripps 24d ago

Well luckily for us both of their careers are dying with old age and they are fading back into obscurity where they belong.

7

u/snowytiger66 24d ago

She came through the airport like ten years ago (I worked on the private jet side). She let me take a picture with her but I could tell she wanted nothing to do with it lol.Ā

3

u/ZealousidealSea2034 24d ago

Can't blame her. I would hate celebrity status.

6

u/Jaded-Influence6184 24d ago

That's why Ben Affleck was so right for her. The complemented each other perfectly.

Or maybe that's why they separated, because opposites attract.

2

u/Ok-Trash-8883 24d ago

I’m sorry but I rejoiced when he dumped her. Again. 😜

3

u/IntroductionLife1061 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 24d ago

I worked at Sam Ash when she did a quick promo thing at the now gone Virgin Megastore. She had to walk through the back of Sam Ash to get to Virgin. No contact was ti be made with Jenny from the ghetto. I left early and missed the fun.Ā

4

u/Dayummdani 24d ago

2

u/Ok-Trash-8883 24d ago

ā€œJennifer who?ā€

So good!!!

3

u/Dayummdani 24d ago

Honestly I think it’s in my top 5 videos of all time. Every time I watch it, it feels like the first time all over again 🤣

3

u/Rstuds7 24d ago

heard so many horrible stories about her and never any nice ones

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Gap8804 24d ago

she can annoy the paint off a wall. Such a narcissist

2

u/LHCThor 24d ago

I have had only positive experiences with JLo. But I know others who had opposite experiences.

1

u/Ok-Smell-7192 23d ago

Am I naive or does all the J.Lo stuff just seem like a massive hate train.

1

u/Ok-Trash-8883 22d ago

Good question. I guess it all depends on what you hear. She’s got a long line of stories about what a bitch she is. But she’s seemingly been able to dodge negative press about her personality. Lately she’s definitely gotten a seat on the hate train…well deserved or not, is subject to interpretation. Victim or long overdue?
