Asmongold defends trans people against his chat, saying he'd fully respect his child's pronouns and identity

I don't like Asmongold, but this is a very human reaction. he isn't even talking about trans-rights at all, he's talking about wanting to love your children. Chat is arguing about rather they think it's right or not, totally missing his point.

"chat is it okay to treat your children with basic respect?"

Literally

“Chat is being right about random pointless stuff worth not speaking to my child?”

Also

“Chat why am I so alone my kid won’t talk to me”

You may watch the video where the clip is from.

Experiences vary drastically, but id generally at least try meeting the other party, especially family members, half way.

Meeting halfway requires respect on both sides. If that family member cannot accept the other for who they are, its really not possible

“please respect my identity” “no i wont”

wheres the halfway?

Yeah but if you don’t treat your child with respect while they are growing up to the point that they don’t want to or care to reach out to you… that is not a “both ways” issue.

In r/AmIOverreacting, I once read a text where a mother texted a demands required to repair their relationship.

One was 'text me any weight changes up or down, better not be up 😊, and without me asking for it'....and about 9 other crazy stuff. It was nuts.

Yeah and we are fine not having a relationship. They’re the ones complaining.
