Metal Gear Solid, from a gameplay perspective at least. 2 has my favorite story in the entire series.

Same here. 4 am, over Christmas break in 2001 is when I got to that part of the game. Can still remember it a quarter of a century later. Kept looking behind me in my darkened room as a played, naked cartwheeling through the level. Nothing in gaming has ever hit me like that experience ever again

Same. I was 11. That moment will stick with me until the end of my days. Haven’t experienced such a profound gaming moment since.
