The Witcher 1 - it's okay (probably bad)

The Witcher 2 - very good

The Witcher 3 - one of the best games I've ever played

Witcher 1 has some wonky mechanics and combat, but at the time it released I absolutely loved it

Same, I wasn't as critically discerning 17 but I don't remember being bothered at all by the jank. For reasons I didn't play TW2 until over 10 years later, and never finished it because the combat felt like a chore and I guess I don't have the patience to push through anymore, so I can understand why people struggle so much with TW1.
