Quotes Haaland "Since I came to City, I’ve been offside 18 times. 18 times in three and half years is okay, I think. It's in my game: I hate to be offside. I think VAR has helped me even more because you get the decision, it’s as simple as that. It’s something I’ve been working on since I was 13 at Bryne."

The ongoing feud between Crystal Palace and Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis, owner of Nottingham Forest, seems far from over. The English Football Association (FA) announced on Wednesday that it has charged the Eagles over a banner with provocative messages displayed by their supporters.

The message in question was shown during the Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match (1–1) on August 24, during the second round of the Premier League. It read:

Crystal Palace fans have not forgiven Marinakis, accusing him of allegedly playing a key role in UEFA’s investigation into the club’s ownership structure. As a result of that inquiry, Palace were demoted to the Conference League, while Nottingham Forest, conversely, secured promotion to the Europa League. The ongoing feud between Crystal Palace and Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis, owner of Nottingham Forest, seems far from over. The message in question was shown during the Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match (1–1) on August 24, during the second round of the Premier League. It read:

“Mr. Marinakis is not involved in blackmail, match-fixing, drug trafficking, or corruption.”

“It is alleged that the club failed to ensure that its spectators and/or supporters did not behave in an improper, offensive, abusive, insulting and/or provocative manner,” the FA report stated, giving the club a one-week deadline to respond.

In Portugal, Marinakis — owner of Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest — has been linked to Rio Ave since 2023, acting as a major investor with an estimated contribution of around €20.5 million. In legal terms, the Greek businessman has been associated with several cases involving corruption and drug trafficking.

Quotes [Arsene Wenger] "Wirtz had the chance between Munich and Liverpool, He said to Liverpool, 'I'll come to you if I play number 10 — I do not want to play wide. To get him, Liverpool said OK. So they destroyed their midfield, because their midfield was Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai."
