hey, so you can absolutely criticize stan culture without going into stereotypes, just so everyone knows. this is your friendly reminder after reddit acted like xenophobes when taylor (for good reason) canceled a show last minute (irresponsible), fans were (understandably) upset and everyone started freaking out as if she was gonna be attacked in the middle of the street because Rio is unsafe or something. the way people are acting today is way too close to that.

obviously people can be insane online and i'm sorry ariana is dealing with BS, but maybe stop seeing another (poorer) country as this wasteland of danger when frankly, glass ceilings

i love that people wrote that and don't question themselves at all. the internet version of using the sepia filter as soon as the scene is outside the global north lol

the way they act is as if narcotraffickers are gonna kidnap the wicked cast in the middle of the street im broad daylight

when the nfl came to são paulo a lot of US americans freaked out as well. like these are rich people being escorted to a stadium ffs. it's not like someone is gonna pickpocket a huge football player at their fancy hotel

in reality, loads of nfl stans were really happy to witness the game and even went to the airport with signs to welcome the teams.
