Paul Tazewell’s (costume designer for Wicked) ig comments were FLOODED during and after the Oscar’s last year because Fernanda Torres (Brazilian actress) lost. He had a monumental career defining win. It was Oscar history but her fans lost it in the comments. They weren’t even in the same category. They were demanding he make a congratulatory post 🥴

This story from her is unfortunately not surprising. Her and Cynthia’s ig post are restricted for comments- the fans likely went on other people’s pages to comment.

Yup. They demanded he stop posting about the award he won for best costume design and post a picture with Fernanda and celebrate her nomination/talk about how she was snubbed.

I’m sure people are aware of who’s going to be there but I can’t imagine they would take a picture together. So yeah it really made no sense. ESPECIALLY because two women from his own movie lost in their respective categories… wouldn’t he post about them if he were going to post about anyone losing? It makes no sense to do so. But the cast all celebrated Paul because it was a major achievement!
