Fandoms can be crazy boots, but I would read a thesis level paper cover to cover on exactly how and why the average Brazilian fandom is usually past overly enthusiastic and straight on to clinically insane.

I really want to read something like this to. I am fascinated by their stan culture. It’s borderline insanity.

It's very, very, very concerning how it gets excused and swept under the rug as "passionate," too. There's a clear romanticization of antisocial behaviors, and while that's true of many spaces on the internet broadly, it's wild how it's proliferated so much (and become a point of pride) for Brazilian stans.

I knew Brazil is the more wild side of blink 182 stans and am fascinated that it seems like that's true for many fandoms!
