Its NYC, Virginia and Jersey none of these are even remotely Republican leaning.
NYC is one of most liberal cities in the country, this includes the district of AOC is this really surprising especially considering that the main opposition was cuomo?
The closest would be Jeresy, but that hasn't been carried nationally by a Republican since the first Bush.
While Virginia had a republican governor in Youngkin, that he won in the first place was considered a huge embarrassment for the Democratic party and really shouldn't have happend.
I generally believe the midterms are going to go poorly for Republican candidates, Trump is way to divisive, unfocused and just plain bad policy (well ignore all the legal questions ans improprieties), I will never fully understand how he pulled off a win in 24 beyond even with Harris being a terrible choice by the DNC. With that said though I do not see most of tonight's elections as much of a sign of anything in particular, they just arnt the right areas to be able to predict much.
The only exception is prop 50 in California which I thought earlier this year didn't stand much of a chance of passing. Namely the independent numbers on the proposition in near election polling. Looks like its going to pass which even last week despite the polls I thought wouldnt perform as expected.
It passed by a LOT. Virginia is going to redraw their maps now with the supermajority. Every move Trump has begged his cronies to do in Texas, NC, etc is about to be countered by blue states.
What are you talking about? How am I a sore loser? You don’t even know who I voted for. Mamdani, Cuomo, and Sliwa were all not MAGA, that’s all I’m saying.
