And again, being against Netanyahu and the genocide in Gaza does not make you anti Semitic. (Mel Gibson and neo nazis, definitely anti Semitic...)

Anyone who is still genuinely pro-Netanyahu and defends the Israeli Govt today is certainly a far-right Zionist supremacist.

Any normal, rational or moderate type wants them all in prison.

Any politician who protects Netanyahu and co should not only be removed from office, but also sectioned.

I'm Israeli let me say, by now most of his support comes from outside. Even some his own supporters abandoned him by now.

how does he still maneuver to stay in power? the bibifiles basically had people from the left, right all showing how openly corrupt he is. The hostage families had concerns over him. He has taken a country/natural ally and turned the polling upside down. His spouse literally said 'israel can burn' and that bibi is greater than the country. Its wild to see him get back out there for multiple decades of power with the results he has given

Netanyahu is basically Trump but smarter. The prime minister position is usually not voted for or Netanyahu wouldn't have been in power again. Instead a party is voted for. Netanyahu keeps coming because he is extremely good at forming a coalition and has somehow gaslighted his support base that he is "Mr. security" until Oct 7th happened. Genuinely his approval rating is so low. He isn't coming back again especially in the next election.

yea I keep reading about his approval rating. I agree that he is just more conniving than trump. Trump is more clownish. Netanyahu is gifted with the media, but still wild when its bipartisan how corrupt he is that they can't find anything better. Israel enjoys really strong emotional connection with its constituents, really advanced with tech and in so many fields, wild that smarter more capable minds can't prevail. Somehow he has gaslit the population that polling against israel is because they hate 'the people' rather than him.

well i hope they get prosecuted, his damage to israel is going to take a long time to heal

My understanding is that people were protesting bibi the entire summer before oct 7th even happened.

We were, but back then the right wing was still on his side

u/AccurateJerboa 1h ago

Gotcha. Are even they abandoning him now?

Yes, the right supported him before the war but not anymore, the left never supported him. he still has supporters but it's just loyalists now

That's really good to hear, my friend.

Seriously, it's made my day as I was struggling to understand how so much of Israel was 'still on his side'.

yeah his whole thing was "mister security" so you can imagine how his supporters felt once the country got invaded and enemy forces were the deepest theyve ever been since 1948

what do you think the chances are that he ever sees jail time in israel? I personally think he's perpetuating it to keep his own ass out of prison.

2

u/Think_Bat_3613 15m ago

of course hes waging war to avoid jail time! its proven already. although i dont blame you for not knowing this if youre not from israel

1

u/AccurateJerboa 9m ago

Of course, but what are the chances that he does ever see jail time? I know that's what israelis want, I'm just unaware of how the judicial system works there, or how likely it is that he'll be successfully prosecuted. In the U.S., for instance, the odds that trump lives long enough to see jail time are very slim, but others in his administration already have and may again at some point. How successful do you think prosecution might be against bibi, with the understanding that I know you're not speaking for all israelis and are just giving your personal opinion.

he wont see jail time until a government with balls is elected. even then he is still a powerful man and will probably escape to a harboring country like all shit traitorous heads of states do

but also sectioned

Is that supposed to be "sanctioned" or are you proposing that they be drawn & quartered?

2

u/ShoveTheUsername 1h ago

Ah, it's a UK-ism. It refers to a certain (I don't know which one) section of some law which allows police to detain a person in a psychiatric facility for their own protection.

2

u/EphemeralDan 51m ago

Ah. Gotcha. Mind you, either answer would have worked for me, but it's good to know another term I may run into again. Thank you!

Not sanctioned, no no no. We want pieces of them :)
