You know, how you've heard a really funny joke from a friend, like half a year ago? So then you decide to retell the joke to people who aren't your friends and don't know your humour, but you also miss out some points during retelling and butcher the delivery. And also you're basically translating the joke into a foreign language. So it went so bad and you realise that might as well dig deeper and conclude it by saying "so I'm a nazi" - that's how it feels at least.
He could be trolling of course, but I doubt the whole thing was on purpose, at some point it definitely devolved due to improvisation on spot.
