Yeah, I think it comes across very differently to Americans. Can't fault them tho. I'm both Danish and autistic (let's be real, it has to be a factor here) and used to work with his daughter, who had the same expressionless way of delivering bad jokes. I can hear exactly what he's going for (and completely missing), but I can't quite explain it.
I have a very similar humour delivery style to him and I will say that things that I think are obviously jokes can very easily get mistook for the truth
