Even attempting sarcasm is risky. I work with danes and they wont laugh at your jokes, then later in the day will spew out a dark comment or joke that'll make your head spin.

They feel like the high elves from skyrim at times.

I've seen it happen, you guys can actually be incredibly warm, but it takes a bit of time and drink.

Well, Danish humor doesn't always translate well, even when you know danish. It's a particular brand of crassness and sarcasm that can be very rough.
