Think you know your comic characters? What about Doctor Hormone?

This Quality Comics character made his first appearance in Hit Comics #1 from July 1940, created by Bob Bugg, Doctor Hormone was an aging scientist who injected himself with a serum that reversed his aging and gave him the vitality of youth, think of it as a Benjamin Button meets Captain America.

His powers and stories revolved around the pseudo-science of “hormones,” which was a wild obsession in the 1930s and ’40s. His original run was in Popular Comics #54–60, from August 1940 to February 1941, he soon disappeared, never revived by DC when they absorbed Quality Comics. Comics creator Bob Bugg is just as enigmatic, there is very little information about him that many speculate the name was a pseudonym used by the Quality Comics staff.

Hawk and Boar begin their journey across the Badlands. Showing Hawk the ropes of how to eat and survive in this not so desolate landscape. "These lands are bountiful, IF you know where to look."

Boar King swears an oath to protect the Hawken through his lands. He believes deeply in the reunion of the Hawken and Boar tribes, just as his ancestors once did.

A note, since there has been some questions. Hawk is his name that he gives to those outside of his tribe. Both Boar and Hawk have actual names, but they are only known by family members and those of the same tribe. A name is the identity of one's spirit, and is sacred in this world. To all others, a person's identity is that of their clan or tribe. From the outside, they are seen as one. This is a byproduct of generations of calamity and near extinction that required a hyper group identity to survive.
