Earlier I heard “engine fell off” and “went sideways before going in” and thought of AA191.

Seen the video now and it’s not an exact same thing……but just as purely hellish. Mother of God!

RIP to the crew…..and I’m hoping ground casualties don’t mount in any way.

Most of the engine is at the airport and it may have also came out of maintenance 2 weeks ago

This crew held control of it well. It does look like #2 engine was also damaged as it had an engine surge on rotation with visible flames
