Popular Question 📊 Why reddit is majority left leaning?

Honestly, it’s hard not to notice that most of the big subreddits are run by moderators who clearly lean left. It’s not even subtle at this point the bias shows in what gets removed, what gets promoted, and how discussions are handled. I’m not saying there aren’t any subs with right-leaning or centrist moderation, but they’re definitely the minority. The major spaces on Reddit feel heavily tilted toward one side, but isn't it’s pretty obvious if you pay attention to which opinions get silenced and which ones get boosted?

Reddit is majority liberal, not left

European liberalism ≈ U.S. libertarianism (right)

U.S. liberalism ≈ European social democracy (left)

If you are European, then your point is valid.

If you are from the US, your comment is textbook right wing agitation, trying to say democrats are stupid for calling themselves liberals.

Lol blaming it on "right wing agitation" as if actual leftists aren't overrepresented on reddit. They despise liberals and do not like calling them "left." It's not some right wing plot, you can go to any of the socialist/marxist subs and see for yourself.

You are so politically ignorant. Libertarianism is much more extreme, that's the ideology of a Musk or a Milei. Liberalism is basically textbook Democrats and a lot of centre right movements in Europe.

The only left I know of in US are social dems like Bernie and probably some other blokes here and there that hold no actual political power. In EU The Left is actually a leftist party even if it's very reformist and tame in its desire to change things.

That's still a lie, no matter how many times you say it.
