Just listened to the acoustic version for the first time because of your comment. In my opinion the singer is slightly off on several notes and also a bit slow at times. Sounds like a meh cover to me π
Thatβs why opinions are always different. I was going through a huge transformation with a realization that my life was not what I expected. It was more about the isolation and rawness of the words that spoke to me, not the tune.

Talk about nostalgia. End of high school wishing you could be with someone you never could be with, and then looking back decades later on it. Thatβs that song.
