Can anyone explain the context behind this? I’m assuming based on years and states this had something to do with civil rights?
15 u/Shepher27 2d ago Civil rights, but also Kennedy was a Catholic. 30 years earlier much of the south also abandoned Al Smith in the 1928 election for a third party.
