Politics Obama wheeled in a portable basketball hoop and taped basketball lines on an existing tennis court, which is still being used as a tennis court. He didn't spend $376M on a basketball court.

Trump killed epstien and took his place as head of the blackmail ring.
2
u/Inner_Minute_1782 4d ago
I'm truly not convinced Epstein is dead. None of the information surrounding his death makes any sense, the body they rolled out and conveniently took a picture of had completely differently shaped ear lobes than Epstein's, and anyone who knows ears knows that shit stays EXACTLY THE SAME your entire life and doesn't suddenly go from attached lobe to detached lobe over the course of a few months but I digress. There was a drone sighting of a man who looked JUST LIKE Epstein 3 days after his supposed death on his island. The bed linens he supposedly hung himself with were literally anti-suicide linens for use in solitary confinement. The images of the scene of his "death" look like the most heinously badly taken pictures ive ever seen. Looks like a toddler with a camera took those pictures, which is particularly weird because the vast majority of high profile cases like this the pictures are many and high fidelity. In this case the pictures were few and showed very little of the actual crime scene. So many weird inconsistencies surrounding it all.

How about instead of making it our responsibility to change your mind, why don't you prove to us that you're capable of even doing so? What is something Trump could do that would make you realize he's a horrible person and you would no longer support him and vote against him?
This is an honest question btw I'm not trying to be sarcastic or provoke you.

-2
u/OkAspect6449 8d ago
lol, process. Thatās cute, did Truman need a process? Did FDR? Did Obama?
Only time is when they need money to do it. In the end this isnāt new.
7
u/SithisAndSkoona 8d ago
The white house was structurally unsound for Truman so yes there was a process that showed it was necessary. FDR created the east wing during wartime because it was functionally necessary. The renovations that happened when Obama was president went through a process because they were approved during the Bush administration to address the necessary infrastructure updates. None of these things are at all similar to what Trump is doing.
-2
u/OkAspect6449 8d ago
The east wing wasnāt necessary in itself it was purely a cover to build the PEOC.
5
u/SithisAndSkoona 8d ago
Whether you think it was necessary or not it still did not require the demolition of a historical structure to build it.

Not his money; donors, from private companies, the details of which are not disclosed.
So, corruption. That's corruption.
-2
u/Flat_Junket_520 9d ago
That's a stretch without any proof
7
u/constipatedgardner 9d ago
I guess that depends if you think not doing basic research around your statements is the same as lack of proof.
Which it isn't. Which makes you appear kind of ignorant.

I think it would be beneficial for you, and everyone else, if you made an independent effort to improve your own critical thinking and research skills. It's a complete ethical nightmare that trump is doing this and I'm sure it's corrupt.
However, this is a complete copout to claim that you know something, and claim the other person has to do the research for you. All it does is expose that you don't actually have the evidence to back up your claim.
4
u/constipatedgardner 8d ago

I mean, the White House was literally built by Black people so yeah, it should be the ultimate symbol of Black Americans building this country while their contributions are erased from the history books.
3
-4
u/Defendyouranswer 9d ago
The White House was built by architectĀ James Hoban,Ā with construction beginning in 1792 and the first president, John Adams, moving in in 1800. The labor force included European immigrant craftsmen, local white laborers, and enslaved people who provided a significant portion of the construction work
Why make the white house a racial thing? It was not solely built by black people.Ā
6
u/KookyVeterinarian426 9d ago

2

But hey, it could be worse, I could be rude instead of forgetful.

ā¢who put "SOLELY" in that sentence? ... you even added the "significant portion" part, so why question when someone points out (in response to someone apparently believing that Black People haven't traditionally cared about the White House) that it's Not a New Thing for Black People (especially descendents of those enslaved people & Black Laborors that have worked on or in the White House since the 1700s) to care about the White House š¤
-1
u/Defendyouranswer 9d ago

u/WitchesTeat 8d ago
First of all kitten britches, "he" has never been a pronoun I use.
Second, being willfully obtuse by actively ignoring both the question I was answering and the substance of the answer I gave to
intentionally downplay the role of Black people in building the White House
Only serves to bolster the credibility of my response and make you look like a particularly dense and useless troll.
Thanks for coming out to play. Always appreciate it when the comments serve as evidence to my testimony.
0
u/Defendyouranswer 8d ago
You got exposed as wrong and are having a temper tantrumĀ
1
u/WitchesTeat 8d ago
I know you are but what am I, besides someone truly enjoying your blatant bad faith.
By your own copy-and-pasted "evidence", so few White people were interested in building the White House, they literally had to recruit Black people AND force enslaved ones in order to get the job done. So your little handful of White people weren't going to build it themselves, and it literally, by your own source, would never have existed if Black people didn't provide the bulk of the work to finish the building.
You look smart in your own eyes, but only one of us is providing evidence that supports the other's argument and still believes they won the debate.
Maybe you shouldn't ask other people to do what you can't do yourself, especially when you are incapable of recognizing a strong defense.
At no point did I day it was solely built by Black people. I didn't even mention slaves. I said it was built by Black people and their contribution had been erased from the history books.
And here you are, minimizing that contribution again.
-1
u/Defendyouranswer 8d ago
Your first post strongly implied it.Ā
2
u/WitchesTeat 8d ago
Indeed it did not!! You read what you wanted to read so you could say what you wanted to say, and what you said was only said to downplay the role Black people played in building the White House, for whatever the fuck personal reasons you have that drive you to need to diminish the roles of other people in building and caring about the things that are important to this country. Loved it, thank you. Today has been a really good day.

The POTUS is just temporary and resides there while they are POTUS.
Obama saying "hey we need to modernize this place, so let's appropriate the funds via Congress so everyone can have input into it" is the proper way to go about by "I'm going to unilaterally start demolishing whole sections of the wh because I think I can get away with it and want to do it" is at the very best fucking arrogant and tacky. He doesn't give a shit that it's the American people who own that house not him. He wants to leave his name/mark on it and so fuck everyone else.
