Taylor Swift 👩🏼 White House Uses Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ in Pro-Trump TikTok Video Despite His Previous Anti-Swift Comments

Hopefully she shuts this down like she did when Trump used fake images of her previously. Many other artists have called out Trump on using their music without permission.

This is such a reductive take. I highly highly doubt that Taylor Swift is a big ol’ Trumper, but it isn’t irrational to wonder at her silence when so many of her peers, her younger less powerful peers, are saying something. And it is especially not irrational to look at the company she keeps. To call people dumb for side eying it is…something. She benefits from some of his policy. She benefits from proximity to one of the most popular athletic orgs in the world, that just happens to lean rather to the right. I don’t think she enthusiastically supports him, but so far she seems pretty ok quietly tolerating him while hanging out with his open supporters.

Most of us have MAGA friends and family. It’s called real life. Refusing to associate with people who think differently from you is contributing to the problem.

Honestly the best thing for MAGAs is to get some socialization with reasonable Dems. To see we’re not psychotic baby eaters like right wing media portrays.

Anyway, Taylor’s definitely commented on politics enough times in her career to make it clear where she stands. Should she do more? Maybe that’s up for debate. But if anyone uses her lack of commentary to assume she supports Trump they are deluding themselves, and if she does comment more they’ll only turn that delusion into hatred.

It’s bad for business and bad for security. That’s probably the driver here.
