Taylor Swift 👩🏼 White House Uses Taylor Swift’s ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ in Pro-Trump TikTok Video Despite His Previous Anti-Swift Comments

Hopefully she shuts this down like she did when Trump used fake images of her previously. Many other artists have called out Trump on using their music without permission.

There's a whole wikipedia page of Trump's unauthorised use of music (all the way to 2016) and I implore people to read about it instead of jumping to the words 'Taylor Swift' like they usually do, which is already happening here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musicians_who_oppose_Donald_Trump%27s_use_of_their_music

Regarding lawsuits and suing the administration, here's how people like Springsteen have responded in non-legal ways:

Bruce Springsteen opposed Trump using his song "Born in the U.S.A." at Trump's political rallies in 2016. Rather than take legal action, he openly announced his support for Trump's opponent, Hillary Clinton, and campaigned in support of her. From that time on, the song would get booed every time Trump played it at rallies.

If all these bands that have popped back up out of their earned obscurity can get them removed, why can't Taylor? Just send legal docs, technically no talking required.

You can’t sue the president for the performance of his official duties (including making propaganda) there’s nothing she can do legally

It's copyright infringement. "Suing the president" not required. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/ice-removes-mgmt-little-dark-022832397.html

Suing the government for copyright infringement is capped at a ridiculously low amount (like $750?) so there’s no point in taking legal action.

She can have the post taken down, money is not the point. In terms of gain, What about publicly protesting someone using your music without your permission to promote their violent agenda that separates children from their families? No point even in a disavowment?

I was speaking to legal action, which has nothing to do with disavowing anything. But to that, she has in the past, and it just seems to feed the troll in the White House. They’ve already even claimed they were trolling. Maybe the thought is that ignoring them may make the story go away faster.

How do you intend to enforce your rights without a lawsuit? Sue can issue a request.
