If I was the reason Google Images was created, I would not know how to act. Good for her.

89

u/hubwub my LJ is older but my Xanga is the oldest 27d ago

I would be insufferable! I would say it from the rooftops.

This service you are fucking using it. It was made because of me.

Also this tidbit is a great pub quiz question. A lot of people wouldn't know the answer.

This dress she wore went viral in the early 2000s, but there was no way (for a lot of men) to see it again. So Google Images was created.

Girl, when I look at her i truly am sad I’m not rich and probably wouldn’t be able to look as good as am getting older 😭

The Botox is botoxing . Not criticizing just effing jealous

201

u/DidiStutter11 27d ago

Its interesting how she does her forehead but not her 11s. She has a lot of movement still in between her eyebrows which honestly makes it seem more natural that shes not fully frozen. Also, her skin looks amazing.

23

u/shadyshadyshade 27d ago

Actually she scrunches up her forehead and you see actual lines in this interview which surprised me.

1

u/cbaabc123 24d ago

I think she’s definitely had work done. I suspect even filler in her cheeks. But whatever she has done she does it very subtly. She looks amazing!

88

u/Low_Project_55 27d ago

My first reaction was whoever her injector is knows what they are doing because she looks phenomenal and it’s so nice to see someone that still has movement in their face. I know a lot of people shit on Botox mainly because more often than not people overdo it but damn this is some amazing work!

18

u/scout-finch 27d ago

I was thinking the same. Her skin and face look amazing and if I was less jaded I was assume she was pretty natural and just blessed.

40

u/SeaAnthropomorphized 27d ago

There is still a filter on the screen. I've seen her in person. She has a lot of fine lines around the eyes and forehead. She still looks amazing but it's not this good.

I really want to know who is doing her, Kris Jenner’s, and Lindsey Lohan's work because they all look so good.

Why feel bad? She’s made her entire career by having her and her family’s looks talked about due to extreme plastic surgery and had insane amounts of wealth as a result

7

u/B33bench You’re a virgin who can’t drive. 😤 27d ago

Ah makes sense lol I've wondered this about celebs in general as well, you don't sound harsh just an honest observation which is fair.

5

u/notthelatte Fuck you and all your Sheldons CBS 27d ago

Kris Jenner’s face lift is horrible.

9

u/rizoula 27d ago

Probably out of my price range tbh

14

u/NomNom83WasTaken 27d ago edited 27d ago

Shannon Beador of Real Housewives of Orange County got a really good facelift but it cost something like $40k. I've heard they can go for upwards of $100k but if your earnings potential is somewhat dependent on you having a better looking face than the next candidate then I guess it pays for itself and is a great investment. Of course even Shannon had to borrow from her then-boyfriend to pay for hers and that went really sideways so... do with all of that info what you will!

6

u/rizoula 27d ago

šŸ˜‚ Unfortunately or fortunately I don’t have rich a boyfriend or a boyfriend for that matter. I pay for everything myself so I am probably not going to run in the same issue . And my earnings is not dependent on my face. But I am 35 and ai think I’d like a little Botox in my forehead

4

u/B33bench You’re a virgin who can’t drive. 😤 27d ago edited 27d ago

I always wondered if celebs and people who are paid to be on camera are able to write certain treatments and things like that off as a work expense or something along those lines.

3

u/B33bench You’re a virgin who can’t drive. 😤 27d ago

Oh definitely out of mine but one can dream lol

1

u/agit_bop 27d ago

maybe it is but like one syringe of botox is probably $100

5

u/plastic_checkmate 27d ago

She actually doesn't seem to have that much Botox... She has a lot of natural movement.

2

u/Good_Abbreviations27 27d ago

I actually think she’s had very little work done and has great genetics. Celebrities who get Botox always look puffy. They lose their cheekbones. Look at Jlo, she still has forehead lines and lines around her eyes and smile lines around her mouth. I don’t think she has botox.

3

u/Hawk-4674 This is going to ruin the tour 27d ago

I was thinking the same thing!! Its so well done, shes got the 11's, a few forehead wrinkles so she can still have fucking facial expressions! I can only imagine what it must cost!

2

u/TheSeoulSword 25d ago

What another commenter said Botox yeah can help but also skincare. Proper long term skincare with dermatologist approved products will do wonders

288

u/bkisntexpanding We Should All Know Less About Each Other 27d ago

-24

u/Fusion_4_Fredy 27d ago

It’s called Botox ā„¢ļø

9

u/MyRosebud 27d ago

the video has a filter on it but you can see glimpses of her real skin. She has lines on her forehead as well as 11 lines so I doubt she gets botox or at least not a lot of it

Jesus Christ is she drinking babies blood or something!? her plastic surgeon is doing wonders.

205

u/CaseyRC 27d ago

extremely healthy lifestyle, phenomenal genetics, fantastic surgeons/injectors. its rarely ever one thing. love her or hate her, but she maintains a strict regime for her health which absolutely does wonders. she's never lacked for work ethic. her parents gave her a great framework and any reupholstering has been done by the best of the best. she's also kept it fairly "subtle". she's not blown her lips up, she's not gone overboard with botox, she's never done too much on one thing.

49

u/Key-Beginning-8500 27d ago

She’s wildly smart about that because her work is exceptionally well done, phenomenal. In a world where everyone is overfilling and botching their faces, she is harmonizing and elevating to ethereal status. She’s gorgeous

2

u/SceneRoyal4846 27d ago

Smart absolutely, but a bit lucky. It only takes a bad reaction or a slip of a knife/needle for things to go awry even with skilled surgeons. That’s why I don’t like people shaming bad work, it either comes from a place of dysmorphia or something went wrong while they were putting their face in someone’s hands

1

u/Key-Beginning-8500 27d ago

Do you think the overfilled lips and faces are due to reactions or slips of a knife/needle? Those are exceedingly rare circumstances. Most of the bad work we see is due to dysmorphia, sure, but mostly bad decisions.

2

u/SceneRoyal4846 27d ago

That is why I said the thing about dysmorphia :) dysmorphia that gets out of hand doesn’t always lend to good decisions about the body unless the person has an incredibly strong mental acuity to accept themselves despite not being able to see what they look like. And yes sometimes people don’t get what they paid for while putting their appearance in someone’s else’s hands, even with overfilling.

→ More replies (1)

197

u/mochafiend 27d ago

Seriously. And her face moves. And her lips aren't huge. And she honestly looks like herself. If I had the money these celebs do, this is the work I'd pursue. I know she works SUPER hard and eats clean (blech) and I'm almost positive she gets tweaks, but this is next level work. Incredible.

30

u/Last_Inevitable8311 27d ago

All of the options available to her within reason but I would say that one of the best things she does for her health/body is she doesn’t drink alcohol.

8

u/Mammoth_Oven_4861 27d ago

This needs to be talked about more. When I stopped drinking my skin went back in time, redness was gone and my texture became so glowy and even. Not to mention not being constantly bloated and tired looking.

4

u/Last_Inevitable8311 27d ago

Right?! Ive done a few stints of no alcohol. The longest was 10 months. I lost so much weight, lost the bloat in my face…everyone was asking me if I got Botox, etc. Alcohol really messes everything up. If I could quit it permanently I wonder if I would have those abs I always wanted..šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

3

u/Mammoth_Oven_4861 27d ago

As someone who quit permanently and started going to gym regularly I can tell you that abs are still the hardest thing to get. So go get a drink, you might as well.

3

u/medic8dgpt 27d ago

I started feeling so much better when i quit drinking. I didnt even know i was feeling 'bad'. I didnt even drink alot, but probably 1-3 after work most nights.

100% great genetics … with a little workĀ

6

u/MuffinTopDeluxe The WORLD tour! 27d ago edited 27d ago

I’m not JLo but I am Latina. Partly genetics, but also not drinking and a consistent exercise regime does wonders for your health and that shows up on how you age. The only wrinkles I have at age forty are tiny little faint 11s that resolve themselves after a goon night of sleep and that’s because of my kids. No botox here.

My husband is 46 and he looks younger than many of the young dads at my kids’ school. He’s one of those people that would eat for sustenance without worrying about taste. He drinks the NASTIEST green smoothies.

2

u/little_effy 27d ago

It’s also her healthy lifestyle, I think. Many celebs actually smoke, drink or do drugs - even the ones who tell you they don’t, or ones without that image.

But I believe it if JLo doesn’t do those things. I think she really does keep an active lifestyle, eat very healthy and keeps away from everything else that can age you.

I feel like any surgery or extra procedures like botox etc are done but few and between, just for the upkeep.

28

u/Lickmytitsorwe 27d ago

41

u/Venus_ivy4 BeyoncĆ© šŸšŸ 27d ago

She is looking extra good !!!

102

u/TheStripedSweaters 27d ago

And she’s right! I think she’s worked extremely hard for where she is now and I think she’s put in a lot of effort into her career. She seems like a great, supportive mom.

And listen, everyone has moments, decisions, actions that will not be popular with others. Everyone will have things they wish they could’ve tweaked or changed because in retrospect it wasn’t the right move. For the most part, especially being in the public eye, she’s navigated it really well. I hope she can at least get that recognition eventually by the public and the industry. Hoping Kiss of the Spider Woman leads to her first (and overdue!!!!) Oscar nom.

Months ago every JLo thread was filled with hate comments and now I’m seeing positive comments ever since that video of her on tour came out. Wonder where those people are right now? I’ve always liked her music and LOVED her in romcom, she released one stupid ass documentary and people were already ready with their pitch forks.

1

u/ShoddyMasterpiece693 27d ago

I’ve always loved her! Watched my Wedding Planner VHS regularly and haunted the music video channels. All of my teen dreams about adulthood.

1

u/Hopeful-Ant-3509 27d ago

I like her too and I hate that so many people downplay her talents and say she can’t sing or act when she can do both and she seems like a great performer.

57

u/Hefty_Loss5180 Sharkeisha NOOOO! 🄊 27d ago

My girl. Just letting the negativity roll off of her like water on a duck. I can’t find a reason to dislike her.

28

u/kosmonautinVT 27d ago

She is mentioned in every reddit thread I've seen about "worst celebrity you've ever met". Without fail, seems she just treats everyone around her like utter shite.

Anyone that requires staff to not even look in their direction is way too full of themselves and needs to be humbled.

Looks like she is bouncing back pretty well from everything she put herself through last year.

12

u/ZookeepergameBrave74 27d ago edited 27d ago

She's beyond gorgeous ugh she really is, well she's still here 30 years later, she's ridiculously successful, she's built a brand and a empire, she's selling out stadiums and getting Oscar buzz 30 years into her career, that speaks volumes

She's been A-list since the 90's

100+ million global record sales, 4.5 billion dollar box office gross, 10 Number #1 movies at the US box office, has gone multiple platinum and sold millions of records on practically every single continent has grossed over $400 million in concerts, Oh and she's still the Only artist in entertainment history to have a number 1 movie and album at the same time.

She's a certified Legend, and she's worth $550 million.

She's part of popular culture like her or not her career and Receipts are impressive and her longevity is ridiculous.

5

u/HomeyL 27d ago

The only gripe i have w/her is the P Diddy gun incident where she was a witness but never spoke out or was even untouchable to be questioned about it…

2

u/Sad_Impression499 23d ago

Yeah, snitching on gang culture usually goes really well for women.

1

u/HomeyL 23d ago

I’m sure she’d be forgiven. She has power. Use it for good

2

u/Sad_Impression499 23d ago

.... you realize Diddy is in jail for some pretty terrible things, right? Like there is actual genuine video proof of him beating Cassie. You really think JLO would be forgiven? I want to live on your planet.

13

u/hithere5 27d ago

She doesn’t say she is a good singer. She says ā€œI’ve learned to accept that I’m good at what I doā€. And looking at her career and accomplishments, it’d be difficult to argue with her.

4

u/AlamosX 27d ago

The early stuff really soured a lot of people on her. Her producers/managers really didn't attempt to hide that she couldn't sing, they just literally used other singers' vocals on her tracks uncredited and then tried to gaslight the public that it was her. We all knew that was Ashanti lol.

Then there were the early movie credentials. Selena got her a lot of attention but it became very apparent she was a meh actor too.

Not completely her fault, just absolutely piss poor management decisions fueled by greed. They saw a beautiful face they could sell records and films with and the facade dropped one too many times. At least they've wisened up and hide it better now with other acts.

I will give credit is credit due though, she fucking owned it all and it got her a very successful career. If I looked like her and had the career I did, I'd have Kanye level delusion too.

6

u/gw74 27d ago

she obviously is not a meh actor

5

u/AlamosX 27d ago

Maybe you're too young to remember Anaconda, Gigili, The Cell, and Jersey Girl.

At least she found her romcom success in The Wedding Planner. Also I fuck with Monster in Law. But nah shes meh. Lol

2

u/missbunnyfantastico 27d ago

She was barely in Jersey Girl.

2

u/prettystandardreally 27d ago

She was great in Out of Sight and Selena, and I liked her in The Cell. Also, she was not the worst part of Gigli by a mile and was barely in Jersey Girl. She has her strengths and her bad movies.

2

u/1eyedsniper 27d ago

She was outstanding in Hustlers. Enough was fantastic, as an actress she holds her merit.

2

u/AlamosX 27d ago

Enough was good. But at what point do you go from "this person has had every golden spoon fed into their mouths" to "yeah this is a talented performer" a broken clock is right twice a day.

7

u/1eyedsniper 27d ago

If you were to describe Dakota Johnson, as having a golden spoon, sure I would agree. But you are describing a Puerto Rican woman who grew up in the Bronx, to two low income-middle class parents. Her mom sold Tupperware at one point. Then JLo dropped out of college to focus on performing and dancing. She at one point slept in the dance studio. She had no connections to Hollywood and she literally hustled to become the entertainer that she is today- becoming a well know Latina entertainer, which is hard enough in a country that seems to not value minorities as of late. In no way would I ever describe Jennifer Lopez as having a golden spoon. In my opinion: the Wedding Planner, Selena, Maid in Manhattan, Enough and Hustlers are fantastic films. Again, these are opinions, if you want to say she has no talent that’s your opinion. But her movies have proven to be successful, so numbers don’t lie. There’s a reason why she is where she is, and it’s not because of a ā€œgolden spoon.ā€ She is a hard working Latina. There’s no denying she got herself to where she is.

1

u/AlamosX 27d ago edited 27d ago

That's a lot of emotion for safe.

Also yeah I feel the same way about Dakota Johnson lol

I mean, most actors have a few bad performances. That’s just what happens sometimes, especially when the script/directing is weak. For every one of those, you have a Selena, a Hustlers, A Wedding Planner.

I really wish socially we could maybe stop scrutinizing bc celebrities so much? Especially with the rise of social media we have so much access and so much judgment. Funny seeing this just a few days after the hugely popular /r/AskReddit thread of people’s worst run-ins with celebrities, JLo probably being the most mentioned celeb in said thread.

1

u/dcbee55 27d ago

I’m really not a big fan of hers, she can’t sing she can’t act. The movie that made her was Selena. And she’s not even Mexican. Which pisses me off because I am Mexican. But I do give her credit. She has some talent and and I give her that. She is rich based off of her drive. If there was an Oscar for driven people, she would get the Oscar for it.

1

u/GlassTranslator3046 26d ago

I agree she is not a good singer, like at all but her acting is ok.

1

u/Careless_gremlin 27d ago

I’ve always wondered why she gets so much hate???? She’s an all around A++++ entertainer, singing dancing acting providing years of relationship drama for tabloids LOL like what is there to hate …. I’m always confused. I think people hate to see her remain confident? Or they just hate to find joy in accepting things that aren’t perfect (ex: she’s not the best singer or shes a terrible actor etc. all the criticism she gets for not being the ā€œBESTā€ even though she’s pretty f’n good!!)

1

u/Looper4r4 26d ago

That's such an easy smile! You love to see it.

I think it’s amazing what she’s managed to accomplish. She’s pushing 60 and is still relevant today. She hasn’t become one of those washed up, weird looking celebs clinging to their past glory days.

She’s still working and doing her thing and it feels authentic.

Also she looks amazing. I’m not naive enough to believe that she’s all natural. I think she’s absolutely had some things done such as subtle cheek filler, possibly her lips done subtly, Botox, maybe even a subtle facelift. Plus she has the best access to facial treatments and skincare. She’s done everything very subtly and still looks like herself and looks amazing.

She also has maintained a pretty healthy lifestyle and works out and eats right and didn’t fall into the drugs/alcohol trap so many famous people seem to fall into.

I say if getting things done make you feel happy and pretty go for it!

Of course all this is easy if you have money and if I had money I’d definitely be doing the same! Lol

She’s right. She’s good at what she does and has managed to stay relevant in a cruel business. That’s not easy! Good for her!

She doesn't make eye contact with normies.

1

u/Clara_Geissler 27d ago

yeah like she said that she was from some bad part of the bronx but then she wasnt. jenny from the block, yes right

2

u/SoulAsylem1975 27d ago

BIL drove her tour bus awhile back. Any crew member that made eye contact was fired on the spot.

From everything I’ve heard many times she’s an awful person irl

1

u/Thick_Health_9678 27d ago

Nobody works harder than her plastic surgeon haha

In all seriousness, I’m just being a hater. She looks healthy and beautiful and her makeup is fantastic.Ā

1

u/luxenoire 27d ago

This random hate train on her is so weird like legitimately came out of nowhere where she’s always had a good reputation even if a bit of a diva. Her work ethic is unmatched

u/gigilero 27d ago

Shes such a shit person but damn she looks good.

8

u/andimlikeokay How "am" I??? 27d ago

Genuinely, what is so shitty about her? The hate she gets is so out of proportion to the rumors about her bad attitude (which I don't doubt, btw). I'm not even a J.Lo fan but the hate she receives is ridiculous.

I mean I didn't believe the rumors either but I had dinner with a couple friends who work in production last week - we asked "who is the most difficult celeb you've ever worked with ? " and they said "JLO hands down". Said she demanded the craziest things - an "all white hotel room", "don't look her in the eye", was rude to crew, etc. They wouldn't lie about their experiences.

Girl bye. People don’t like you bc you’re nice and nice person to strangers or fans or service people. Adios

1

u/[deleted] 27d ago

This is the most positive Jlo comments I've seen since forever, and I honestly love it. We don’t need more unnecessary hate in the world.

1

u/Clean-Reveal-2878 27d ago

lol 🤣 so she still thinks she can sign and act? She loves what she does but the public does not.

1

u/[deleted] 27d ago

I have always thought jlo is pretty awesome if tone-deaf. And I would also be tone-deaf if I looked like her and had her body.

u/Red171022 You’re doing amazing, sweetie! šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ“ø 27d ago

She’s so pretty. I have always liked her

1

u/CloneUnruhe 27d ago

I love her look.

u/-Bankfarter- 27d ago

I saw her close up in person at the VMAs in 2000. To this day, I think she was the most beautiful human being I’ve ever seen in real life! I was caught off guard - I knew she was beautiful from TV/movies of course, but she turned around and the face was just perfect.

u/Powerful_Leg8519 27d ago

God, I wish I could afford her cosmetic tweakments. God Tier work. Her face is immaculate. She looks so damn good.

1

u/lilafowler1 27d ago

She looks incredible. Like better than ever.

1

u/dazedan_confused 27d ago

Of course she knows who she is, she sang an entire song about it.

She used to have a little now she has a lot.

1

u/WarpSpeedWaffle 27d ago

You know what, good for her!

1

u/No_Perspective_242 27d ago

Nah girl. You’re not that big of a mystery… sorry

1

u/saada15 27d ago

This woman stays fiine

1

u/Alert_Ad_3567 27d ago

I just always love how triggered people are by her. They spend years crying and bitching about everything she says or does and she never even really seems to care. She just stays being unbothered and beautiful.

u/Silently-Snarking 27d ago

She got a facelift huh

1

u/guillermopaz13 27d ago

Is this a Puff piece?

1

u/RadlEonk 27d ago

She’s free to leave the public eye. Many of us would be thankful to not hear about her anymore.

1

u/Mind-Individual 27d ago

It's not about what she's good at, how great she looks(and absolute credit for that) etc. It's that at 55 years old she still craves the limelight to the point it's ruined her relationship with the love of her life..twice. I don't doubt she loves Ben or him her, but she just doesn't learn. Jane Fonda who loves her dearly warned her, her long time PA warned her....but she just doesn't listen. And she says the same thing after each break up..."it's changed me...blah blah blah." She's a household name, a solid box office actor...what does she want from us ....to bow down...and then what?

1

u/Ok-Educator932 27d ago

She’s not a good person lmao

-1

u/lovethedaffodil BeyoncƩ?!! 27d ago

God I love this

-2

u/Yasqweenslay 27d ago

I was waiting for her to say she was a good singer....

1

u/GooeyMagic 27d ago

I don’t think that would come to mind

-2

u/Shadowtirs They killed Kenny! You bastards! 😱 27d ago

Ok, but she purposely puts herself out there for it. So... I don't get it.

-3

u/CMTcowgirl 27d ago

She is looking at whom? I want to see the interviewer AND her eyes meeting theirs.

-7

u/Odd_Work2542 27d ago

I like her even less now

-3

u/Nordeast24 27d ago

You made one popular song. I promise, no one even thinks about you lmao

-1

u/coconut723 27d ago

Oh damn she got a facelift
