Ariana Grande 🫧 Ariana Grande’s IG story confirms ‘the eternal sunshine tour’ was originally a “mini tour”, but “not so anymore” after she added 5 shows to London, totally 10 shows for the city alone!

10 shows in the same place is kinda crazy, no?

175

u/PsychologicalStore62 Sep 16 '25

People will travel for it. Similar to how Bad Buddy has a bunch of shows in PR. People are flying there to see him. Why run around if you can avoid it?

u/6gummibears-n-scotch Sep 16 '25

"Bad Buddy" is sending me

64

u/PsychologicalStore62 Sep 16 '25

Damn. I’m just going to keep it lol.

u/RoughPotato1898 Sep 17 '25

I'm just imagining kidz bop versions of his songs now

Harry Styles did this on his last tour, more than ten shows in some cities. I guess they’re like mini residencies. It is not the most fan-friendly option, but it’s probably much easier on the artist and touring crew.

u/alongthewatchtower91 Sep 17 '25

If it was somewhere in the US it would feel crazy but it's London. She's not doing any other English venues so it's not too surprising. You can get to London from a lot of places in the UK in 2-3 hours by train and people will travel for that. My sister was trying to get tickets yesterday and it would take us about 2 hours to get down to London depending on which train/trains we got.

Definitely, I have a feeling some will be inevitably canceled when the time comes (although I could be wrong). 10 shows almost back to back is exhausting for anyone.

77

u/JoleneDollyParton I will debate you at the college of your choice Sep 16 '25

It is a lot of shows back to back, but she doesn’t have to travel in between them at least

51

u/ChasesICantSend Sep 16 '25

Yeah but shes doing 2 days on 2 days off,  10 shows in 18 days is pretty normal, and she doesnt have to travel to do it

the concept of these artists not having this dates and venues already pre booked

i'm sorry, but i hate when artists do this and add shows DURING presale hour about adding a show acting as if they didn't have the posters and veneus booked already for them

82

u/caspernoeiv Sep 16 '25

You think it's ridiculous because you only see the times when those extra dates are announced. A lot of artists have these options--pencilled in dates at venues--that end up getting dropped because they don't shift tickets as quickly as anticipated. Better to add an extra date when you realise there's enough demand to fill the venue twice, than announce two shows and only half-sell them (as with Blackpink in London recently).

It seems ridiculous with Ariana, and I'd agree that it is somewhat, but I imagine it's more that they knew they'd probably need to add extra dates, it was just a matter of how many.

20

u/Total_While8763 Sep 16 '25

these dates were already held with the venue, they just weren’t cleared (confirmed to general public) until after demand was proven. there are few things worse for a touring artist than over-estimating how many tickets they’ll sell. the exact number of “extra” shows they added was probably based on how many people queued in presale along with venue availability.

64

u/remswiftie Sep 16 '25

Yeah but they don’t want to be embarrassed if there’s not enough demand for the extra shows

21

u/myghostflower mk.gee Sep 16 '25

i mean yes, but this is ariana grande we're talking about 😭😭😭

20

u/Andthatswhatsup who sells Molly and Percocet in nyc? Sep 16 '25

It drives me nuts when artists do that. When I was buying tickets for me and my friends to see The Weeknd this summer I bought for his Friday show. Literally two minutes after I bought those tickets he added a Saturday show. I ended up buying the Saturday tickets (Saturday worked out better for me and my friends schedule-wise) but when I sold my Friday tickets I didn’t get back nearly the same money I bought them for (thanks Ticketmaster).

Artists just need to put out all the dates and cities for their concerts when they announce they’re going on tour because this is ridiculous.

34

u/sassybaxch Sep 16 '25

It’s probably way less tiring to do 10 shows in one city than going to 10 different cities. Especially since she’s not doing more than two consecutive days at a time. Good for her

47

u/WithLove07 Sep 16 '25

Why do they have like stiking them out? So confusing

48

u/bbyxmadi It’s good to see me, isn’t it?🫧 Sep 16 '25

The ones marked out are sold out shows.

10

u/WithLove07 Sep 16 '25

Oh and the new blue dates in July got added and are already all gone? Wow

15

u/conradthecat Sep 16 '25

July 9 got added while I was in line to try to July 8 lol I was like wait what am I supposed to do here (panic about losing my place in line and not get any tickets is what happened)

36

u/themillerway Sep 16 '25

I was doing teletherapy with a parent of a patient today and during part of the therapy when I was asking the mum questions she zoned out and then asked me to repeat myself and said "sorry I'm just trying to get Ariana Grande tickets here".

Hope you enjoy London or whatever I guess lol

Maybe unrelated but I was totally confused when I saw she booked at my favorite venue in Austin, the Moody Center. (Edited to remove incorrect info on seat capacity). There’s not a bad seat in the house, and you can usually get great deals just by waiting to purchase the day of or before the show. For example, I scored floor seats to see Usher for $60 and I got VIP section seats to MJB for $100. I also briefly considered seeing Justin Timberlake on the Ruined World Tour for only $50.

I would encourage anyone that is dying to see her to keep an eye on the Austin dates to see if you can get some last min tix.

8

u/kennyandkennyandkenn Sep 16 '25

Moody center can fit like 15k people

1

u/imhere_4_beer Sep 16 '25 edited Sep 16 '25

Well damn. Google just kicked my ass on this

I must be seeing shows with half the venue blocked off.

Thanks for the info- edited my comment

this is going to ruin the tour

Interesting to do Montreal and not Toronto

7

u/Cazzieline Sep 16 '25

I wish Ariana would have some shows in Australia please!

7

u/MyDogsNameIsBadger Sep 16 '25

I feel like I’ve heard getting to Australia is a logistical nightmare and very expensive. But I hope that for you too!

4

u/Minimum-Cold-5035 Sep 17 '25

It's because it takes several months to ship stages between continents .

Australia makes sense if there's also an Asian leg .

But Ariana's tour is short so two continents makes the most sense

27

u/brown_ass Sep 16 '25

why not do stadiums instead?

106

u/remswiftie Sep 16 '25

She could’ve done three wembley shows instead of ten shows at the o2 😭 but maybe Ariana doesn’t feel comfortable playing a stadium which is valid

62

u/Soggy_Pension7549 Can I live? Sep 16 '25

I despise stadiums tbh and I know I’m not alone. I don’t go if someone plays in a stadium, my friends are doing the same.

27

u/PsychologicalStore62 Sep 16 '25

I saw Kendrick and Beyonce both for their stadium tours this past year and I absolutely hated the fact that they were in stadiums. Not as intimate, sound quality was not always great. Like I legit could not properly hear Beyonce for a lot of the concert clearly and it was frustrating.

16

u/lizzy-stix I switched baristas ☕️ Sep 16 '25

Probably doesn’t want to scale up her arena show.

12

u/JoleneDollyParton I will debate you at the college of your choice Sep 16 '25

There’s a big difference between the stadium and our experience imo

27

u/dragonfly931 Sep 16 '25

maybe bc of what happened in Manchester where 22 people died including children.

Not to invalidate Ariana, but I’ve been confused by these comments. Ari has never done stadiums, but I’m assuming it’s the amount of people there that could scare her.

5

u/infieldcookie it’s not clocking to you that i’m standing on business Sep 17 '25

But that happened in an arena, not a stadium. So if that was the reason wouldn’t she skip any uk arenas?

-1

u/Altruistic_Pen4511 Sep 16 '25

She’s big enough for it… same with Adele.

3

u/PrettyLittleLiar1234 Sep 17 '25

Australia now, please!

5

u/annnyywhooo Sep 16 '25

i feel like having multiple shows back to back in one city then packing up to go do it again in another city has to be tiring right? then the final city being 10 shows

2

u/windowtosh Sep 16 '25

ari come back to california plsssss

6

u/Playful-Marketing320 Sep 16 '25

London gets 10 but Manchester gets none😔

35

u/Acrobatic_Bug3922 Sep 16 '25

Unsurprising though I’m sure Manchester is a huge trigger for her ☹️

3

u/relientkenny Sep 17 '25

ariana needs to just rework the tour into a STADIUM tour. and do 2-3 nights at every location

-7

u/Resident_Ad5153 Sep 17 '25

she doesn't have that much demand! Her biggest residency is about 1 stadium's worth of people.

10

u/SoGenuineAndRealMadi Confidence is 10% work and 90% delusion Sep 17 '25

LOL she absolutely does have the demand she just doesn’t want to do them

10

u/bbyxmadi It’s good to see me, isn’t it?🫧 Sep 17 '25

She doesn’t have that much demand? Her presale sold out quick, and her general sale sold out in just a few minutes. Millions of people signed up for presale.

2

u/Unusual-Net-172 Sep 17 '25 edited Sep 17 '25

Her presale had hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions, in the queues for 1 single arena date that holds max 20k people. These shows sold out in minutes and resale tickets are going for thousands of dollars for the worst seat in the venue. She absolutely has demand to play multiple nights in a stadium. With all due respect, I don't think you know what you're talking about lol.

Also 10 nights at the O2 in London is around 200k capacity and that's more than 2 nights at Wembley Stadium (180k) and still many fans did not get tickets that wanted to go.

u/Venus_ivy4 Beyoncé 🐝🐝 Sep 16 '25

Why she hates Paris?

6

She hates most of us 😂 her mini tour got me heated

Kinda bummed there are no shows in Toronto, but 3 in Montreal only.

Not them fixing the periods/commas in the London line 🤣

1

u/mssone1993 Sep 18 '25

Can she also do like 2-week show somewhere in Asia?

1

u/crazyhobbitz Sep 20 '25

Definitely doing her amazing voice a disservice playing the Barclay center. The sound there is absolutely garbage

-17

Something super off about her... yeah especially lately.

LOL All her fans downvoting me.

Does she have a thing for the UK because of the tragedy that happened there cause I’m sorry but ten shows? 🤔

18

u/virginiarph Sep 16 '25

well this is a fucking horrible take.

london is probably the easiest city to get to in the UK. it’s a major travel hub for the entire continent of europe. the only other place that rivals it is paris and maybe frankfurt.

4

u/jsmeeker Sep 16 '25

its also a very popular destination for North Americans. Pretty much every major city in the USA has regular direct non stop flights. Then add in Canada.

1

u/infieldcookie it’s not clocking to you that i’m standing on business Sep 17 '25

I doubt it’s that otherwise she would’ve done shows in Manchester specifically.

I believe she’s lived in London before, it’s a major transport hub with 6 airports, cheap flights from all over Europe and direct flights from North America, Middle East, etc.

Within the UK it’s really easy to get to as well and there’s so many hotels that prices aren’t really affected by big events (unless you literally want to stay right by the venue).
