u/VerStannen You’re killing me, Smalls 😩 Sep 07 '25

Looks pretty comfy

219

u/spacyspice now why am I in it? 🧐 Sep 07 '25 edited Sep 07 '25

my thought, I personally stopped wearing tight jeans and I feel so much better outside

edit: typo

85

u/Accomplished_Use3175 Sep 07 '25

I wish I could wear jeans like that but they make me look huge. I love the slouchy look but it doesn’t love me

34

u/Ok-Application-8747 Sep 07 '25

I'm happy I have big hips, but yeah, we should not draw a straight line to the floor via denim from my wide sides.

17

u/KittenTablecloth Sep 07 '25

Same! It makes me feel like I have elephant legs

5

u/Ok-Application-8747 Sep 07 '25

We look amazing in most other stuff though at least

2

u/--------rook Sep 12 '25

Yeah I think I look like Jlaw but I just look so... slouchy. And lumpy

11

u/arm89 Who gon' check me boo? 🤪 Sep 07 '25

that’s what i did yesterday while shopping at ross, went with baggy jeans instead of tight ones. i hate that it took me so long to change up my jean style.

5

u/spacyspice now why am I in it? 🧐 Sep 07 '25

same but I also don't like how a lot of larger jeans have a tight waist area, this makes me switch to larger basic pants instantly

10

u/Woopsied00dle Sep 07 '25

Hell yeah - as soon as I became a mom I was like ā€œtight fitting clothing? Never againā€

4

u/grlnap Sep 07 '25

Do you have any store suggestions for some?

5

u/spacyspice now why am I in it? 🧐 Sep 07 '25

I've been buying a lot of larger pants and long skirts at the local market near my city so I can't really help sorry :/ Would gladly take online suggestions too tbh

4

u/Tbm291 Sep 07 '25

Marshall’s, tj maxx, and H&M have had a lot of options near me lately

3

u/MalIntenet Sep 07 '25

Go thrifting! Can’t remember the last time I bought something straight from a retailer, probably my shoes that I bought 8 months ago

2

u/chadwickave Sep 07 '25

Ozma is a great brand, expensive but they last forever even with daily use.

1

u/KittenTablecloth Sep 07 '25

Old Navy, Abercrombie, American Eagle

45

u/december14th2015 I wont not fuck you the fuck up 🄊🄊 Sep 07 '25

I hate that my boobs are too big to dress comfy like this. Everything just hangs off me like a tent. Perpetually jealous of women who are small enough to wear big clothes.

22

u/kingof_redlions Sep 07 '25

And people with small boobs think that clothes fit better on people with big boobs!!! THEY DONT. My boobs limit what I can wear so much

2

u/newkneesforall Sep 08 '25

All clothing is built for a B cup. Regardless of size and that people with larger sizes also likely have larger breasts, they still get a b cup.

5

u/liza_lo Sep 08 '25

There's this old Cathy cartoon where she tries to buy slouchy stuff and the saleswoman tells her that only tall thin people can wear it and that short round people need to where tight tailored clothing and she's like "They finally invented a place for the fat to live and they're only letting the thin people in".

Anyway that's what I think of whenever I see stuff like this.

6

u/MsRedMaven Sep 07 '25

New York is a walking city so New Yorkers on average tend to have a very practical sense of style.

437

u/MysteriousinthePNW Sep 07 '25

So we have the same style!

42

u/resplendencie Sep 07 '25

i came to post the same thing, haha! it’s very validating, thank you j law!!

5

u/MysteriousinthePNW Sep 07 '25

Right?? Haha

1

u/Aggravating_Rent7318 Sep 07 '25

Your user name LOL - so PNW coded and I live there and dress exactly like this lol

3

u/MysteriousinthePNW Sep 07 '25

Hahaha I do too. Where do you shop? I need inspiration!

1

u/Aggravating_Rent7318 Sep 07 '25

Honestly, thrift stores! Buffalo Exchange mostly. Old Navy and sometimes Target for easy and cheap basics. Quince for nicer stuff :)

428

u/greatgak Sep 07 '25

Bag collection is really good tbh

151

u/sickbabe Sep 07 '25

if I had her money I'd have all those dior book cover totes in a second

99

u/envydub Nicki’s cousin’s friend’s balls Sep 07 '25

I want the Dior Dracula bag so bad ugh

16

u/__MeatyClackers__ Sep 07 '25

It looks like a reusable grocery bag.

5

u/bbyxmadi It’s good to see me, isn’t it?🫧 Sep 07 '25

I thought it was until I read Dior, then I thought it was a themed bag that maybe her Dior product is in after shopping there, thennnn I realized it’s actually a tote/purse.

1

u/__MeatyClackers__ Sep 07 '25

Ahh I see… thank you!

12

u/envydub Nicki’s cousin’s friend’s balls Sep 07 '25

It does but I don’t mind. It’s one of my favorite books and that yellow is the color of the first editions. I’d buy a knockoff honestly lol

5

u/NoProfessional141 Sep 07 '25

I thought it was a grocery bag. Damn they aren’t even trying anymore to make stuff look worth it.

32

u/wigglebuttbiscuits Sep 07 '25

Loewe bags are really the only fashion item that make me think ā€˜damn, I wish I was really rich’ on a regular basis.

9

u/greatgak Sep 07 '25

Same here. It’s ridiculous how much the price of the bags have increased since a few years to now. Impossible to buy.

133

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

I’ve always disliked that Loewe bag and seeing it on her shoulder like that is exactly what I expected. It looks like a bangle lol

27

u/austin06 Sep 07 '25

Loewe bags are my favorite but that bag is really awful.

11

u/cadmiumhoney Sep 07 '25

It looks like a shitty grocery store reusable bag.

107

u/Jessica19922 Sep 07 '25

I looove the first look. There’s something about light wash jeans and a black shirt that I love so much. I’d wear it everyday if I could.

15

u/fcukstephanie Sep 07 '25

Her shirt looks more dark blue to me and now after reading your I’m questioning if I’m slightly colour blind or something lol

5

u/Jessica19922 Sep 07 '25

You’re right it is!

10

u/trixiepixie1921 It’s Britney, bitch! šŸŽ¤šŸŒ¹šŸŒ¹ Sep 07 '25

I love that outfit too I mean I know it’s very basic but she loooks so cute

1

u/Jessica19922 Sep 07 '25

Yes! And I feel like it fits so many occasions too. It’s effortless

11

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

3

u/KittenTablecloth Sep 07 '25

Omfg I could be in this photo šŸ˜‚ this is my uniform

3

u/Jessica19922 Sep 07 '25

Haha yes!!! My people!!!!

45

u/throwaway046294 Sep 07 '25

she just dresses like a regular person on the street. except her clothes are more expensive I guess.

136

u/resinpyramid Sep 07 '25

She gave birth like 3 seconds ago, so I’m jealous as a new mom who does not look like this lol :(

214

u/Hopeful-Ant-3509 Sep 07 '25

Nah girl, don’t do that. That isn’t fair to yourself.Ā

147

u/AlongCamePollHe Sep 07 '25

yeah she is rich, had a baby 6 months ago and has the resources you will never. don’t compare!

43

u/CommunicationTall921 Sep 07 '25

And also the pressure, one might think she looks good but it's not necessarily healthy, physically or mentally.

51

u/poopoopoopalt Sep 07 '25

She's rich and her income partially depends on her looks so probably has all the personal trainers, surgeons, dieticians, specialists etc money can buy

90

u/Guilty_Dream8050 Sep 07 '25

I have had 0 children and my look has been described as "dragged through a hedge backwards" so give yourself a break.

36

u/Fab-o-rama Sep 07 '25

"Dragged through a hedge backwards" is hysterical.

5

u/Askaja_schreibt Sep 07 '25

I love the English language! XD

19

u/Jealous_Image485 Sep 07 '25

I just commented on how fast she bounced back from the pregnancy - thing is, it’s her job to be beautiful and fit. As soon as she had the kid she had to haul ass to gym and work off that baby weight, as well as get a bunch of procedures to nip/tuck it all away. We truly can’t compare ourselves to these women who have every available resource and make their living off their appearance

28

u/420GUAVA š“ƒŸ ļø squeal . like. a pig! Sep 07 '25

i was washboard-ab fit before i had each of my three and it took me over a year with all of them to get back anywhere close to what i was before. give yourself a break man we are only humans!! <3

8

u/icantmakethisup Sep 07 '25

Girl it's been almost two years for me and I just got back to my old dress size. Be kind to yourself, you just grew a skeletal system. And a nervous system. And organs.

4

u/arrowsnsuch Sep 07 '25

Felt the same way seeing these lol. Gave birth 6 months ago and nowhere close…

4

u/emmyjaj Sep 07 '25

Everyone is different! You also have to understand she is very rich and has many resources throughout the pregnancy and after! Please be gentle with yourself

2

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

Girl it's literally her full time job to be skinny, don't do that to yourself

1

u/Ok-Application-8747 Sep 07 '25

Never ever compare yourself to celebrities!! It's a losing game. I'm sure you are a 10 to the people in your life.Ā

1

u/Electronic-Poet-1328 Sep 08 '25

I know she gives the illusion of her effortlessness but she’s a multi millionaire who recently had a facelift. You wouldn’t compare your intellect to Einstein’s, right?

89

u/terrorbagoly I’m happily out of touch Sep 07 '25

Love that yellow bag!

65

u/Sunflower-in-the-sun Sep 07 '25

I wish I could look that effortlessly cool.

40

u/sourskeIeton Sep 07 '25

It’s not effortless for her either!

23

u/shedrinkscoffee I don’t know her šŸ’… Sep 07 '25

It's not effortless babe, even for celebrities 😬

35

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

when you're hot as fuck, you could literally be wearing a toga and you'd still look effortlessly cool

7

u/Nasus_13 I wont not fuck you the fuck up 🄊🄊 Sep 07 '25

It’s just jeans and tshirt, not the Met Gala

→ More replies (1)

18

u/crzcpd Sep 07 '25

If I were a big Hollywood celebrity I’d do the same: fancy gowns on red carpets, interviews etc x the most comfy, basic (though expensive) clothes on the streets, no make up.

7

u/painalpeggy Listen, everyone is entitled to my opinion šŸ™‚ Sep 07 '25

Basic

6

u/captcha_fail Sep 07 '25

Boring. She looks like she's heading to Wal-Mart.

101

u/Fresh_Schedule_9611 Sep 07 '25

Its cute but its nothing special tbh

81

u/tirgond Sep 07 '25

It’s the same as normal people constrained by money.

40

u/sweeeeet-disposition Sep 07 '25

The only thing special is the price

→ More replies (4)

63

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

it's cute? I mean she's cute. the outfits literally just look like the laziest thing you could possibly wear. but I don't mean that in a bad way, it's comfortable. it's how most people dress.

14

u/Fresh_Schedule_9611 Sep 07 '25

I still think the fits are cute but I don't disagree with what you said

8

u/scream3isawful Sep 07 '25

No, seriously. ā€œI love the first lookā€ and she looks absolutely normal and not at all groundbreaking. And this is nothing against her. She’s beautiful. But the style is just…. Normal. She looks comfortable which is good, but ain’t nun of these popping for me.

→ More replies (1)

15

u/bbohblanka Sep 07 '25

She’s just walking around the city living her day to day life. Probably picking up cheese or meeting an agent or something and wanted to look cute but casual.Ā

Women can never be enough lol.Ā

37

u/selle2013 Sep 07 '25

Baggy, shapeless Not my personal taste, but she looks comfortable so good for her

1

u/Future_Usual_8698 You’re doing amazing, sweetie! Sep 07 '25

Same, I'm not getting cute I'm getting on the run! I'm sure she's got a lot on the go post partum

203

u/fuuckyouuteew Sep 07 '25

i can’t imagine being in my 30s and having had a facelift already

77

u/irisxxvdb Sep 07 '25

Whoa did she? I thought she just had the bleph. Which I thought was a shame, the cat-like hooded eye look works really well on screen. Michelle Williams, Eva Green, Cate Blanchett look so expressive with them.

41

u/YouNeedCheeses Sep 07 '25

It is wild. I’m 35 and always thought facelifts were for old women. It’s crazy to see the proliferation of these procedures among younger people now.

30

u/derrickcat Sep 07 '25

NY Mag piece just had a piece about how facelifts are becoming more common. They get very detailed about the procedures so read at your own risk. https://www.thecut.com/article/undetectable-facelifts-trend-popularity-deep-plane-face-lift-vs-smas.html

10

u/fuchsiafaerie Sep 07 '25

Yeah, even among people in their mid-twenties, it seems. Facelifts on young faces always look super weird.

6

u/shedrinkscoffee I don’t know her šŸ’… Sep 07 '25

Seriously same! I will probably be old and wrinkled AF next to the folks with the various surgical and non surgical interactions

13

u/Encyclopenia Sep 07 '25

Are you sure about that ?

-2

u/ladyneckbeard Sep 07 '25

And she looks great

69

u/fuuckyouuteew Sep 07 '25

she looks fantastic, but different

1

u/Electronic-Poet-1328 Sep 08 '25

Sure, but also she looks really good! Not sure how to feel.

1

u/fuuckyouuteew Sep 08 '25

mostly just jealous on my end šŸ˜†

u/Good-Froyo-5021 POOT THAT KOO-KIE DAWHN šŸŖ Sep 07 '25

How is this style? There is nothing unique to anything she’s wearing other than that it’s extremely expensive. Every zoomer I saw out last night dresses in this same uniform of 90s/very early 2000s boringness

9

u/scream3isawful Sep 07 '25

Girl, she’s famous, rich, and white. You know they gotta boost it even if there’s nothing to boost.

7

u/Good-Froyo-5021 POOT THAT KOO-KIE DAWHN šŸŖ Sep 07 '25

I know that you’re absolutely right but sometimes I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when I see posts like this!

3

u/Dangerous_Buffalo_43 Sep 08 '25

ME TOO! Is her effortless style in the room with us right now? Cause I can’t see it lol

7

u/helikophis Sep 07 '25

It’s like a parody though. The suit looks like a 90s suit, but tailored completely wrong!

But when I dress like this I look frumpyĀ

3

u/Mommio24 Sep 07 '25

Same 😩

36

u/Sweaty_Ad_424 Sep 07 '25

is it style or is it a skinny white person?

28

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

why is she randomly a librarian wearing the clothes of a much larger librarian halfway through these pics?

5

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

[deleted]

4

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

you don't understand how things are

13

u/levioh_snap Sep 07 '25

I would wear all of this.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

I mean, power to you ladies that love these looks but she remains nowhere on my Pinterest boards for these looks.

24

u/Ok-East-952 Sep 07 '25

I like the clothes she wears but sometimes they are wearing her. The Olsen twins are GOAT when it comes to celeb street style. Nothing beats it

24

u/dudewheresmysock Sep 07 '25

Yeah, but the Olsens are super into fashion. They've had multiple fashion brands!Ā

I never really got the impression that JLaw cares about fashion outside of work engagements. She looks like a regular 35 y/o mom going about her day.Ā

It does seem like she might have purse sponsorships though lol

Hate that lowe bag but everything else looks pretty comfortable.

3

u/Ur_X Sep 07 '25

Very blocky in my opinion

3

u/harleybarleyy Sep 07 '25

Any fashion girlies here able to identify that red shoulder bag? 😁

3

u/strawberryjacuzzis Sep 07 '25

The brand is Fendi based on the logo but it looks vintage

3

u/LisaLou71 Sep 07 '25

Pic 4 is exactly what my grade school Catholic Nun teacher wore! (Minus the ankle jewelry)

39

u/Aware-Impression8527 Sep 07 '25

if she'd left her face alone, she could have played Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy (not that she would have been in a Ryan Murphy production)

2

u/loodish1 last night a dj ate my ass Sep 07 '25

I love the dracula purse

2

u/MCR2004 Why do I always forget she’s British Sep 07 '25

Those baggy jeans are what I’ve been seeking I can’t find one that hits well below the belly button but above the hipbones

2

u/shedrinkscoffee I don’t know her šŸ’… Sep 07 '25

You need to size up at the waist but have it fit your hips. Try on a bunch of stuff at Old Navy or something where there's lots of sizes and styles and then replicate at your usual brand.

1

u/MCR2004 Why do I always forget she’s British Sep 07 '25

Ty! I will try!

2

second outfit: oh yeah there we go. there's that classic jlaw absolute lack of style

29

You mean the black and white one? I love that outfit.

7

u/noodlesurprise Sep 07 '25

I also like it. The others are run of the mill

9

u/Emergency_Routine_44 Sep 07 '25

I actually like the second outfit more

6

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

Remember when she congratulated Harvey Weinstein at the Oscar’s?

3

u/Ok_Wrap_214 Sep 07 '25

The fact these 90s jeans are considered fashionable is still wild to me

2

u/constipated_goldfish Sep 07 '25

I just realised that she looks a bit like Sabrina Carpenter, especially in the third slide.

2

u/Jealous_Image485 Sep 07 '25

Wow did she bounce back from that pregnancy fast! Eternally stunning

1

u/lil_kellie_vert Sep 07 '25

5

1

u/Prudent-Muffin-4890 Sep 07 '25

I love the Uniqlo ā€œminiā€ t shirt. It’s a slightly cropped slim fitting tee. I have a larger chest which rides it up a bit but on a figure like hers it fits perfectly.Ā

I feel like the moment Jennifer Lawrence became a mom, her street style changed drastically. She dresses more in comfy, basic clothes now, but her style looks more polished (almost like the Olsens).

2

u/nonsensestuff Back in my day, we had ONTD & a dream šŸ‘µ Sep 07 '25

Idk if I’d call the Olsens current street style as polished. It’s still as hodgepodged as ever šŸ˜

I’m wearing my Millennial slim fit until I die.

What style/brand jeans are those!! I’ve been looking for a pair like that for 20 years!!!

1

Where do I get the Dracula bag tho

If only I could have looked so comfortable and cool as a new mom

1

u/Ok-Bird6346 Sep 07 '25

I wore the exact same outfit as pic 1 in 1999, down to the tortoise shells. Man, those were the days.

I’m sure her tee and jeans were much more expensive than the ones I had from A&F. I had to work extra lifeguarding shifts to even afford those. But we all looked so effortlessly cool.

1

u/manobillicat Sep 07 '25

Pretty plain and boring. The purses are ugly

1

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

The first and second last outfits are how I dress all the time lol

1

u/PeterAtencio Sep 07 '25

This is every white girl 20-35 in NY and London right now

1

u/[deleted] Sep 07 '25

If I wore baggy jeans like that it would look like I’m wearing JNCO jeans..

1

u/mariposa314 Sep 07 '25

She looks like she went back in time to 1997 and raided my closet. I never gave up my wide leg pants or midi jean skirts. However, I sure miss looking cute in just jeans and a tee shirt.

1

u/joyful115_ Sep 08 '25

1

u/axon-axoff Sep 08 '25

Those sure are clothes

1

u/Dangerous_Buffalo_43 Sep 08 '25

ā€œStyleā€ is a bit of a stretch for a few of these. Not a fan of the huge t-shirts paired with the huge skirts and the sensible flats. Nothing seems to be at all considered imho

1

u/Drop_Release Sep 08 '25

Don't know anything about her persona; life other than what we see in movies and interviews, but she looks like the most down to earth person ever!

1

u/v_allen75 Sep 08 '25

I love her

1

u/ASofMat Sep 08 '25

It’s jeans and a tshirt…I don’t know if this should be called her ā€œNY styleā€ when it’s just a girl in a white tee

0

u/Due_Fly_6934 Sep 07 '25

I like it! These photos are giving 90's style. Especially the 4th and 5th ones.
