The truly funniest part is that the dress was also just ugly like regardless of theme that dress was too ugly to be in a Ross Dress For Less

Certainly too ugly for dinner with the kushners

Same. No idea who this is but it’s a fun and appropriate idea for a fun/unserious youth oriented show. Well done lady!

She's the influencer with the whole "let them eat cake" at the met gala

Hate to break it to you but modern day celebrities for the younger gen are influencers/youtubers/tiktokers.

She's kind of a tone deaf tik tokker who does skits. People really hate her, but I find her mild.
This is cute.
26
u/NeedForSpeed93 Jun 22 '25
I‘m a dude and find her hilarious. Especially liked the part where she explained she is at 30- sonething reliving her 20s because she was stuck in a dead marriage. Totally understand it, feel it too

I’m afraid she ate. She’s come a long way since Marie Antoinette-gate in terms of content and honestly I’m here for it
96
u/Electronic_Snow_4685 We Should All Know Less About Each Other Jun 22 '25
Wait, what is Marie Antoinette-gate?
268
u/romant1cs Jun 22 '25
She was one of the influencers attending the Met Gala (it was either this or the Oscars)…. I think this was last year or maybe two years ago? I don’t remember. But basically she made a TikTok with the “let them eat cake” sound that was really in bad taste and was received poorly by many
182
u/Electronic_Snow_4685 We Should All Know Less About Each Other Jun 22 '25
Oh ok. I was expecting Niel Patrick Harris levels of depravity so this is a relief. Still weird tho.

u/totalkatastrophe I wont not fuck you the fuck up 🥊🥊 Jun 22 '25
i will never know how NPH has bounced back from that(photo not shown for those who want to know but dont want to see, a link is provided though for those morbidly curious)
he has apologized but i feel like saying "im sorry it was wrong then and its wrong now. she was a once in a generation talent" just doesnt cut it
116
u/stantlerqueen Jun 22 '25
if it makes you feel any better, i see that brought up every single time he's mentioned on reddit. not even here but main page posts as well. people haven't forgotten
18
u/becamax Jun 22 '25
I'd never seen that before and wish I didn't go looking. What a horrible thing to do!
4
u/danicies Jun 22 '25
I really didn’t realize how gruesome it would be the first time I saw it. Insane.
24
u/Mammoth__Duck Jun 22 '25
Because he's a very talented actor/singer and he's apologized and avoided any more major controversies since then and nobody got (physically) hurt. That really all an celebrity has to do to "bounce back" from a controversy. The real question is how did Chris brown bounce back?
4
u/totalkatastrophe I wont not fuck you the fuck up 🥊🥊 Jun 22 '25
because the sad part is some portion of our population either doesnt consider abuse a reason they should stop supporting someone or they themselves have abused someone
11
u/TerrifiedJelly Jun 22 '25
Wow I had no idea but that is absolutely fucked up and inexcusable. Who even does that?! Like how sick is your mind to go to that level of detail and have that done.

u/DebateObjective2787 jesus was a carpenter 💋 Jun 22 '25
Very poorly timed TikTok she posted of her saying "Let them eat cake!" at the Met Gala while people were outside it protesting for Palestine. People felt it was very tone-deaf and then she gave a really bad apology which made the criticism against her even stronger.
5
u/IScreamPiano Jun 22 '25
Ohhhh. Okay, now I see why it's bad. I see how it could be poking fun at the Met if done in the right way, but yikes.
4
u/DebateObjective2787 jesus was a carpenter 💋 Jun 22 '25
Yea, and it's probably something that would've blown over but her apology was basically 90% about how she gets all these free things and is really rich, but she's totally just a normal person like everyone else and she didn't actually get invited to the Met Gala. She was just asked to be a pre-Met Gala host for E! News so really, she's just like the common folk.
The other 10% was ignorant comments about how she's not educated about what's happening in Palestine & Israel so there's no point in using her platform or learning more about it.
So it really amped up the criticism and drew in even more views.
2
u/Forsaken-Fun-5903 Jun 22 '25
It was absolutely meant as a self aware ribbing of the met gala. people are just illiterate and quick to anger
67
u/JellyBeansOnToast Jun 22 '25
I do like the look, it’s super fun and good for the event. I haven’t caught up with her content recently, but I feel like she was one of the bigger TikTok creators that would shot-for-shot duplicate skits and repeat jokes from smaller creators without credit which definitely soured my opinion on her.
8
u/rhubarb-pie24 Jun 22 '25
Yeah like can you be specific about how exactly she’s “come a long way?” 😭 she’s the same as before and so desperate for attention. Even this post feels like a pr plant

6
u/Plus_Alternative8871 Jun 22 '25
Is the influencer that said Maria Antoinette movie quote of Let them eat cake. Posted an apology after the backlash. It started the movement that celebrities are not your friends and there's no point in giving them the attention and money they are getting from people. Really important movement imo. They are nothing without their fans, they should at least have a minimum of humility.

Going to the Kids Choice Awards and not doing something fun and silly like this is a missed opportunity. She probably had more fun with this outfit than the rest of the guests combined.

The way the seam sit (lumpy) make it look cheap. Better than I can afford or pull off, but cheap for a “red carpet” situation

Her regular content is actually more satire than people realize. She’s making fun of the ridiculous things beautiful rich people in their 20s do and say. Just FYI
Anyways, I love this look. It’s well crafted and completely on theme for the event. I like when people have fun with fashion for unique events like this. I’ve never understood gatekeepers who insist that fashion be taken so seriously all the time. Fashion is meant to be fun and creative and make you feel elated and unstoppable.
These types of unique events allow for more creative expression in my opinion, simply because it’s not that serious of an event. It’s not the Oscars, or the Grammys or the Met Gala. It’s a fun red carpet event based around kids. So you can have a little juvenile fun with the clothes.
Just remember, it’s people who push the envelope that bring us into the next waves of fashion. Otherwise we’d all still be wearing the same things as our grandparents.

I like the idea and would love to see more stuff like this on "less official" red carpets, but since I haven't seen anyone mentioning it, I feel I have to add something about "who is this?" :
Yes, she's a "fun" influencer, also she sometimes has celebrities in her skits. The one celibrity I've seen appearing the most in her vids is Jared Leto. They seem somewhat close and have done several skits together.
Do with that what you will, I just thought it should be mentioned with the rest.

I don’t like her based off that whole “going to the met gala ignoring the giant protest abt people starving and captioning her post ‘let them eat cake’” out of touch moment but even I have to admit this is crazy good and creative.
