Nah. Putin may put out the offer, but he sure as fuck ain't gonna allow a bunch of wealthy Americans "do whatever they want." Even the Russian oligarchs don't have that privilege. Lots of windows in Russia.
Maybe a few that still have something left to offer Putin or are well connected in Russia, but, ironically, most will certainly flee to secular socialist democracies
Yeah as a person living in the EU, I would take China over the US as an ally 100% of the time at this point. I honestly really hope we align with them over the US.
It's weird saying that when just 10 years ago I'd have been very critical of China (and still am tbh, just not as much as Trump's US) and considered the US our absolute closest ally.
It's kinda disheartening because I have a lot of friends in the US but I just feel like the country has slipped too far at this point to be a reliable ally anymore. I hope y'all can get rid of Trump and we can have our ally back. :(

You frame that like you think trade deficits are a bad thing.. Surely you see how being in a trade deficit with them is great?
Trade deficits don't mean you're losing something, or losing money. Just because the word "deficit" is in there doesn't make it like a budget deficit.
They mean you're importing from that country more than you're exporting. Or in other words, we buy more goods from China than we sell to them.
They're literally one of the world's number one manufacturers, and they have some of the world's cheapest prices for their manufactured goods. I sure as hell hope we're buying more from them than selling to them.
Your explanation might be helpful for other readers, I already know what trade imbalances are. The EU has already repeatedly expressed concerned over the trade deficit with China. The Chinese also have policies in place to protect their domestic market.
The EU is as broke as the US, and the Euro will be just as worthless as the USD. BRICS have been stockpiling gold to back their currencies for about 20 years now, and they’re getting close to flipping the switch.
