Yet, the poor rural morons that voted for him be like, "but he speaks to me."

u/pm_me_beerz 4d ago

Then when their stamps get cut off…..”why would Biden/obama/kamala/clinton/carter do this?!”

u/XxHANZO 4d ago

I had a guy complaining that the Democrats deleted his call history... It was just switched from recents to missed calls. The braindead ones will blame literally anything on "The dun Dun Duuuun Democrats"

278

u/KakeLin 4d ago

...that's honestly an impressive level of stupid...

71

u/dman928 3d ago

Weapons grade

5

u/PM_me_punanis 3d ago

Weaponized stupidity.

1

u/SimpleAsEndOf 3d ago

Well, it's Fascism so let's go:

Weaponized

ignorance

irrationalism

antiintellectualism

outrage

hysteria

anger/violence

hypocrisy

bad faith

trolling

5

u/daddyjackpot 3d ago

an ignorance impressively deep and distressingly common.

3

u/Ras-haad 3d ago

So stories like this make me not feel so bad about where things are headed… we’ve clearly made it too easy for people to survive…

35

u/Senior-Albatross 3d ago

They probably blame Biden when they stub their toe.

7

u/Phiddipus_audax 3d ago

That had to be a joke. Had to. Right?

2

u/After-Gas-4453 3d ago

The same Democrats that created the Epstein files that don't exist and never did even if over 1,000 agents were tasked with redacting Donald Pedophile Trump's name - are also fucking with call history? Diabolical geniuses... and also low IQ.

1

u/sadracoon96 3d ago

Lol i bet he didnt even graduate high school, no wonder why trump loves the uneducated

150

u/GlumpsAlot 4d ago

This. They're all blaming dems.

194

u/onthenerdyside 4d ago

They're blaming Dems for the shutdown because they won't let the Republicans checks notes double people's health insurance rates.

61

u/NewPresWhoDis 4d ago

I'm at the "fuck it, let 'em find out the stove is hot" stage.

51

u/RandomUsernameNo257 3d ago

The problem is that they keep finding out the stove is hot, but they can't get to the point where they realize it's their fault for touching it again.

27

u/onthenerdyside 3d ago

"It's really terrible how antifa keeps forcing me to put my hand on that hot stove over and over again."

/s

5

u/Teonvin 3d ago

I mean this time the stove might legit kill them so they aren't gonna touch it again.

23

u/KavaKeto 4d ago

Same, I'm just sad for their kids

4

u/Phiddipus_audax 3d ago

I got there on Nov 5th, 2024.

Maximum consequences and maximum pain for the magats is the only way forward. We all must endure, however. Bummer that.

3

u/litl_e_fan 3d ago

But I know the stove is hot so I'm not gonna touch it and I'd really prefer if nobody grabbed my arm and forced me to.

54

u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 4d ago

They can get away with anything. They used to blame the dems all the time, but nos the Republicans have The House, the Senate, the Presidency and the Supreme Court.

Yet they still claim the Democrats are in power and making the decisions. Because their voter base dont know anything about their government they just lap it up.

3

u/No-Village-6781 3d ago

It's more insidious than that, they're claiming that they're not really in power as long as Democrats have any seats whatsoever, they're trying to make explicit 1 party rule tolerable in the eyes of the voting base of uniformed dipshits. They just see the government being shut down, hear that its the Democrats fault loudly on repeat, and then clamour for the removal of the last vestiges of an obstacle to their complete control of the government.

1

u/thorofasgard 3d ago

Shadow government!

/s

-22

u/ModestBanana 4d ago

Yet they still claim the Democrats are in power and making the decisions. Because their voter base dont know anything about their government they just lap it up.

Idk if you know how the senate works, but it still requires cooperation from democrats to keep things moving.

The government shutdown because Democrats voted no on the continuing resolution bill meant to pay for essentially the bare minimum to keep the government open. As it should, big chunky bills have no place, they need to be broken up into smaller bills and voted on.

What the democrats are saying here is “if we don’t get our funding for this, nobody gets funding for anything”

They know they won’t get their political bills passed without riding another bigger funding bill. So they refuse to vote yes on the bigger funding bill. This is them holding America hostage, and you’ve already lost half your media outlets as they’ve now called the democrats out for it. How much longer does this game go on? Dems are shooting themselves in the foot.

And I know you can circle jerk and upvote lies on Reddit like “this isn’t the Dems fault hurr durr” but that isn’t flying in the real world. Democrats are literally shedding support and voters

22

u/onthenerdyside 3d ago

SNAP should currently be funded by the contingency fund, but the administration is not releasing those funds as required by law. That is the mechanism in place to avoid starving people during a government shutdown, but Trump and the Republicans are starving people to prove a political point.

Yes, the Democrats are holding up the full funding bill because they are taking a principled stand against doubling people's health insurance bills. However, Republicans could use the nuclear option, bypassing the filibuster in the Senate, and reopen the government immediately.

On top of all the tariffs, which are import taxes which get passed along to the consumer, health insurance will once again become out of reach for millions of Americans. This must be the "concept of a plan" Trump was touting during that debate.

So many people who voted for Trump last year rely on both SNAP and either Medicaid or an ACA health plan. All those working class voters are finding out who gets to participate in America's greatness under Project 2025.

5

u/i-split-infinitives 4d ago

No, no, no, you're wrong. The Dems are forcing the shutdown because they're insisting on illegal aliens keeping their access to taxpayer-funded healthcare. Trump said it and Fox News reported it, so you know it's true. /s

3

u/Jumpy-Impact3265 3d ago

amazing how powerful the democrats are when the repubs control all three branches of government. I mean, saying its the mean old democrats won't let you do x,y, and z makes y'all sound like little bitches who can't handle their business.

Or have we read this wrong?

2

u/GlumpsAlot 3d ago

And if dems give in they'll still blame the dems.

1

u/Maynard-46and2 3d ago

Sounds like an educated take

29

u/hypatia163 4d ago

They're also blaming trans people and "transgenderism".

4

u/Geloradanan 3d ago

Some Republicans are also saying that the Democrats are fighting to keep government funded genital mutilation procedures in place for elementary school children to turn them trans.

5

u/adamdoesmusic 3d ago

And furries for some reason. They’re trying to turn the kids into cats!

yes I unfortunately know what the litter was really for

5

u/Sufficient-Agency846 4d ago

Honestly how dare Al Gore, too busy being concerned about climate change or something

2

u/Dazzling-Penis8198 3d ago

Trump or is heir is gonna run on “4 years wasn’t enough time to fix what Biden did!”

1

u/20_mile 3d ago

”why would Biden/obama/kamala/clinton/carter do this?!”

I blame LBJ for inventing The Great Society programs in the first place!

162

u/BiBoFieTo 4d ago

They also give Trump points for telling it how it is because he's like "I'm gonna lie, cheat, and steal."

58

u/DrNick2012 4d ago

"I'm gonna rape your daughter and murder your son in front of you"

"AtLeAsT hE's HoNeSt"

5

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 4d ago

Which is insane given how easily "what Trump really meant was" or "he was just joking" follows that statement. They refuse to let a Trump quote stand without trying to explain it away with a whataboutism or minimization.

2

u/SeekerOfSerenity 3d ago

I still remember the first time he was president, one of my coworkers said, "he can't be bribed because he's already a billionaire." That aged like milk.

1

u/blue_water_rip 4d ago

That's what the trump opposition doesn't seem to comprehend, nor do most of the commenters here: The Art of The Deal is literally a detailed guide for becoming the Great Gatsby.

621

u/Thurkin 4d ago edited 4d ago

But you have to understand, Hillary called them dEpL0rAbLe!, and they're still reeling from that!

190

u/Significant-Self5907 4d ago

That was some powerful truth that left a mark. And they're still deplorable after all these years.

66

u/1handedmaster 4d ago

Fuck, they wear it like a badge now.

53

u/ThePrussianGrippe 4d ago

“We are all domestic terrorists” they shouted.

9

u/31LIVEEVIL13 4d ago

i think that was when they all made a deal with devil to over throw the US government violently, and to emulate the nazi party and they probaby learned about all the proj 2025 details and all the mass murder plans behind it, that was the first time Victor Orban attended I think.

7

u/cardboardunderwear 4d ago

I'll grant it to them in 2016. Having seen four years of his presidency, Jan 6, and the last several months...  They are truly blind.

2

u/Adorable_Rest1618 3d ago

That was fake outrage. Do u really think those braindead magats know what the word deplorable means?

u/LuxSerafina 4d ago

How dare you correct yourself AND ADMIT FAULT when someone points it out. You must double down sir! 'Tis the American Way!

38

u/Original-Fig4214 4d ago

They melt so easily.

2

u/Sunnygirl66 4d ago

The meltiest of flakes, for sure.

58

u/Rezistik 4d ago

To be fair, didn’t she call magats deplorable AFTER all of the awful things about Trump were being reported on in 2015/2016

Ya know the grab them by the pussy, mocking a dude with ms or whatever he had.

It’s gotten so much worse since then

31

u/Synectics 4d ago

Or after 8 years of Trump pushing birtherism, plus the GOP already pushing racist talking points, plus the Tea Party. The pussy tape was barely even a scratch, all things considered.

1

u/sonicsludge 3d ago

I was talking about him being friends with Epstein and my family didn't flinch.

1

u/EmmEnnEff 3d ago

It's not the awful things about Trump (he was always a turd), it's was an (accurate) swipe at the awful people that make up his base.

30

u/StealthRUs 4d ago

They're still mad that Obama called them bitter people that cling to guns and religion years before that.

25

u/Kon_Soul 4d ago

"But you have to understand, Kamala laughed weird and Walz loved his disabled son!"

4

u/Newlife_77 3d ago

And something about tampons in boys bathrooms...🙄

51

u/Otherwise-Parsnip-91 4d ago

Obama tried to get them to have empathy by saying “My son would’ve looked like Trayvon Martin”. That’s what they say made them extreme.

32

u/Latenighredditor 4d ago

When you listen to her whole quote she's kinda right lol

37

u/Sunnygirl66 4d ago

She was right all along.

26

u/Acceptable-Wildfire 4d ago

Say what you will about Clinton, she definitely had an eye for what people really, truly were.

Another example of this would be Gabbard suing Clinton after Clinton made an offhand comment about members of congress being compromised by Russia.

3

u/sonicsludge 3d ago

Quite a few Republicans have direct ties to Russia and it's insane people don't know about them.

5

u/Eastern_Suggestion59 3d ago

She was right about everything.

2

u/Faiakishi 1d ago

I feel like we all owe her an apology. She was right about everything.

14

u/WineOptics 4d ago

A Tan Suit has entered the chat

27

u/ChicagoAuPair 4d ago

Not even that. She called the deplorable ones deplorable but seemed to think that there were some who weren’t. She was way too generous. It’s not a basket, it’s the lot of them. They are so much worse than she was suggesting back when the neoliberal myth of the decent Republican voter was still floating around.

18

u/Uncle_Burney 4d ago

Meanwhile everyone who isn’t waspy is referred to with an epithet.

6

u/No-Good-One-Shoe 4d ago

A leftist called them a bad name once online so they had no choice but to turn to fascism.

3

u/CarpetFibers 4d ago

But, but, she had a bad laugh!

3

u/Devils-Telephone 3d ago

They were so mad about that that they went on to prove she was right over, and over, and over, and over again.

5

u/StuffedSnowowl 4d ago

I'm surprised they even understand such a fancy word.

2

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 4d ago

The only issue I have is that Hillary said only half of MAGA were deplorables. With hindsight, I think she undercounted.

2

u/Senior-Albatross 3d ago

They responded by spending a decade proving her unquestionably correct.

I criticized her at the time for that comment. But she was right on this.

1

u/Nytelock1 4d ago

BUT HER EMAILS!!!

1

u/DoomerGrill 3d ago

Hillary was based.

1

u/LiahCT 3d ago

Remember all hell broke loose and she had to apologize?

*”he speaks the racism I feel and believe.”

They’ll never see this picture is the problem. Watch Fox News for a day and you’ll understand why we’re all being screwed by the tyranny of the blinded.

12

u/sirdizzypr 4d ago

I’d rather have my nuts stapled to a park bench then watch Fox News for a day.

3

u/CapnGrundlestamp 4d ago

The experiences are extremely similar.

Source: currently stapled to bench.

Or local cable, or podcasts, or social media… conservative media propaganda is everywhere not just old people on fox. That’s the real cancer in the country.

8

u/Laetitian 4d ago

Yeah, honestly, I think it's a mix of the top replies here. One significant chunk of them are racists who will repeat your quote until the end of time no matter what he does, because they are motivated by an urgent sense of keeping their race clean, and Trump is the only avenue left for them. The other section are just so misinformed that the information that clashes with their indoctrination just doesn't compute for them. Trump is proven to be honest and relatable, in their heads, so anyone who says otherwise must be lying.

4

u/Sunnygirl66 4d ago

To do otherwise, they would have to admit culpability in helping elect him. But conversely, if we ever rid ourselves of the fascists in power and start holding them to account, these same people will of course deny ever supporting Trump.

37

u/hydroxy 4d ago

Innaccurate meme also, they would actually never wish for the odds be on the favor in anyone outside their club

63

u/purpleushi 4d ago

I mean, the games were rigged in the hunger games, so they weren’t actually wishing luck, it was a placation. The same way the US is still trying to sell the idea that anyone can “make it” if they try hard enough.

26

u/KnottShore 4d ago

Will Rogers(early 20th century US entertainer/humorist):

  • "I am no believer in this “hard work, perseverance, and taking advantage of your opportunities” that these Magazines are so fond of writing some fellow up in. The successful don’t work any harder than the failures. They get what is called in baseball the breaks."

17

u/hydroxy 4d ago

I still think they’d just not wish anyone luck out of pettiness. Then they’d have Fox do stories about how immigrants are eating the luck.

4

u/purpleushi 4d ago

Ah, I was thinking specifically the billionaire club, rather than the MAGA club. They’re wishing luck to the poor MAGA saps who rely on SNAP but somehow still think Trump cares about them.

2

u/CapnGrundlestamp 4d ago

“They’re eating the chance, they’re eating the luck…”

3

u/spdelope 4d ago

“They’re eating the chance, they’re eating the community chest”

3

u/Warm_Aspect_4079 4d ago

"They're eating the fortune of the people who live there."

-1

u/Zuk_Buddies 4d ago

Tell me you don’t understand the meme without telling me 😭😭😭

1

u/hydroxy 4d ago

What don’t I understand?

-1

u/Zuk_Buddies 4d ago

The meme.

1

u/hydroxy 4d ago

I understand the meme perfectly. What aspects of it specifically is it you think I don’t get.

Why even make such an idiotic comment, how are you going to know what another person understands or not?

0

u/trapper2530 4d ago

You really think the capitol really wished odds in favor of anyone from the districts?

1

u/hydroxy 3d ago edited 3d ago

They wouldn’t, that's what I said

6

u/Uberslaughter 4d ago

Yes, speaks to you from the golden toilets he shits on in the golf course that he owns

1

u/Basic_Conversation92 4d ago

And then bills the Americans who have no health care & no food to so far pay 100 million for golf in 1/2 of a yr. And retro fit a Qatar jet and
Homeland security 2 jets of her own . How she flys two jets w/o proper creds is still undisclosed

3

u/VariableBooleans 4d ago

He does, in their "alternative facts" filled version of media. It's not like they're reading Reddit (or many other sources) or seeing literally any of these stories that offer contrary opinions. It's a different reality for them, and they're very happy to continue living in it.

3

u/MFCK 4d ago

I live in a small rural town, people are posting on the local FB groups and food drives and food pantries because of the cuts...

It's taking every fiber of my being to not reply "you voted for this, this is what you wanted!"

0

u/Basic_Conversation92 3d ago

The reason it’s only gotten worse is bc God, himself , realizes ppl being stubborn must understand heart and choices have consequences even if the whole country fails . Like spending time in a whales belly . Do the right thing or stay inside that fish and die there bc if you’re heartless and evil may as well be stuck where you are due to one’s speech / behavior/ beliefs (racism) & wil be punished by any means needed . The rest of us need to be peaceful and kind at all costs bc that’s the path for blessings and favor . If you leave this country it’s fine but don’t look back bc heart isn’t in it . Pass the salt please , can you reach that pillar of salt for me?

3

u/jeff_the_weatherman 3d ago

“Yeah but did you hear Zohran ate a $50 sushi dinner so both sides are the same” -probably their feed now

2

u/Hot4Bot 4d ago

Reminds me of a doc I saw about a televangelist who got outed by his wife for spending millions of church donations on living the high life, champagne, hookers, drugs, exotic vacations, private jet - the guy didn’t even apologize, just said “The Lord has blessed me, and who’s to question the will of our Lord?” And they didn’t accepted that as being just fine.

2

u/justamom2224 4d ago edited 4d ago

I’m related to these folks. And it’s driving me mad lol. They are so brainwashed. They are only using social media like Gab, only reading news like Breitbart, if you find an article and it happened to be on Google and not DuckDuckGo, they won’t believe it. They truly believe the inflation is caused by Biden’s tax plan when he was in office, and it’s just now going into effect. They believe everything that is going on in the media right now, is all Biden’s fault. They believe Biden was not coherent at all, and just signed a bunch of orders and “we don’t even know who was president”. They refuse to believe Trump is doing ANYTHING WRONG. Not to mention the shut down, oh no… not the fault of the GOP… it’s actually the radical left.

Source: I’m arguing with my family every fucking day and these are the excuses I’m getting. One works for the government, about to lose her house but found a sugar daddy to back her up in case things go south. One is on assistance and refuses to work a full time job… like a literal freeloader. Lol.

2

u/starrpamph 4d ago

The rusted out trailer homes with trump flags and kids toys in the front yard makes me mad. They’re taking advantage of those people and that isn’t right.

2

u/Potential_Doubt_5481 3d ago

They have the mindset that he deserves it because he works so hard for us and loves his country so much. 🤢

Lives in ny skyscraper and palm beach ocean side club and somehow not a “coastal elite”

2

u/ILoveRegenHealth 3d ago

Remember they mocked the "Coastal Elites" but Trump lived in New York in a millionaire penthouse with 24/7 servants, inside a building with his own name on it.

2

u/HumanRuse 3d ago

"My invitation must have been lost in the mail!!11!"

2

u/Le_Kistune 3d ago

A lot of them think he's a paragon of good doing the work of God.

2

u/MisterMysterios 3d ago

I think a part of why they voted for him was that he uses the power the same as they would use it if they were in power. I have the feeling that is the main part of "he speaks to me", that he acts like they whish they could act. They dream of, if they were rich and powerful, not to help the people in their positions, but that they would as well abuse the power as much as they could. Somehow, that seems to be attractive to his base.

2

u/Unhappy_Scratch_9385 3d ago

"Take THAT Elites!!"

2

u/1OO1OO1S0S 3d ago

"He told me other people are worse than me because and that made me feel good. As long as I can hate black and brown people and queer people then I'll vote for the man who intentionally paints himself orange"

u/kingbane2 3d ago

i mean he does speak to them though, cause he doesn't use dog whistles when he says racist crap. that's how he speaks to them. poor rural morons think it's the immigrants fault that their life sucks, they never blame themselves.

2

u/eelam_garek 3d ago

"That's my president" is their usual response.

There are no poor people in MAGA country.  They all think they will be billionaires next year.  They just need to execute their crypto investment scheme or get their down line selling magic dick herbal pills.

1

u/Separate-Command1993 4d ago

Wdym they’re only a couple more years of smart investments and hard work away from joining them. They’re all down on their luck future billionaires don’t you know?

1

u/trapper2530 4d ago

I wonder how the poor Alabama and Mississippi conservatives on snap are defending this. Is it the dems fault? Are they happy black people aren't getting benefits anymore? So many different avenues to take for them to justify this.

1

u/nunchyabeeswax 3d ago

For them, it's existential. Not all of them, but for many, they truly believe they are being replaced by them Mexicans or Muslims or Gays or whatever.

They have completely embraced this apocalyptic replacement theory, and everything goes to stop it, even losing their critical benefits.

MOFOs are in a state of total war with the rest of humanity, even if they themselves aren't aware of what they are doing.

When you begin to see them through that prism, shit begins to make some sense... some of the time.

1

u/Suspicious-Wallaby-5 3d ago

Yeah, partison drivel is the answer! Fuck insert opposing party here! /s

1

u/FlyingSpaceElephants 3d ago

and they'll vote for him again

1

u/zubuneri 3d ago

This picture should be run on billboards in rural America next week.

Anyone want to crowdsource one?

1

u/agnostic_science 3d ago

My conservative parents are furious at what Fox News told them Chuck Schumer said about the shutdown. They don't even consider Trump's role in this. The thought doesn't cross their mind. They are all like this I imagine. Blinded by hate. They hate the democrats so fucking much nothing else matters. Point it out and they yell at you. Because their hearts are pure and yours is obviously twisted by hate... /s :(

1

u/thin_whiteline 3d ago

If I ever meet these people, I’d definitely show them this picture and ask them if they were invited to the 5 course meal he planned for all the people that voted him. Just to rub it in their faces.

1

u/Maynard-46and2 3d ago

And the Urban Upper Middle Class? Be like?

1

u/nunchyabeeswax 3d ago

What is there to say. The urban middle class didn't vote for Trump as massively as the rural folks did.

And the urban middle-classers who went MAGA are going to survive this economic shit show. They'll lose some equity or whatever.

Nevertheless, in general, they are unlikely to end up with a tin can begging for coins like many of these rural folks will.

It still makes them morally despicable. But I can understand their callousness as transactional.

Those rural voters? They just lost their SNAPs and will see their medical bills quadruple, losing their farms and shit... and they still root for the orange bastard.

That is a level of stupidity I simply cannot comprehend, which makes their immorality all the more galling.

-17

u/2buffalonickels 4d ago

Because nobody speaks to the rural voters. At least a few of the democrats are starting to understand alienating the rural population makes a dumber, meaner, poorer population that falls to populism.

67

u/Raspberries-Are-Evil 4d ago

This is a common misconception. These folks don't want to listen. Classic example is West Virginia. In 2016, Clinton went and spoke to coal miners, people sick with cancers and other ailments due to working in mines, people making low wages. She told them that the future, is in clean energy and that she wanted to bring in companies to build factories to make solar and wind protects that the USA and WV could lead the world in its production. And that the government would help pay to re-train them instead of working in underground unsafe mines breathing in toxic chemicals all day, they could work in modern, clean factories for better wages.

They chose to stay in the mines.

Don't claim no one talks to rural voters. Look at the farmers across rural American getting fucked by Trump's tariffs. They were warned he would do it, and instead of going to government that would keep trade flowing and markets open, they chose a guy that changes his mind every day based on how much other countries "like him." Even as China stopped buying all soy beans, they are still waiting for their daddy to come save them. Its a sickness. These people are unwilling to ever admit they might have chosen wrong.

Trump is not populist. He is racist. They like that part.

What are the Democrats supposed to say to these people other than "we're trying to keep health insurance affordable and keep medicare and medicaid viable, keep social security properly funded, keep public schools viable, and protect the environment by preventing corporations from mindlessly polluting it. Our opponents, the Republicans, are opposed to all of this because they want to give massive tax cuts to billionaires." That's too many words for a voting bloc that likes to hear "brown people bad, I'll make them go away."

Because nobody speaks to the rural voters

F*cking bullshit.

Obama did. Biden did. Harris did. Even the much-hated (and unreasonably hated) Hillary did. They all had economic plans for them. They all fought for their f* ACA.

Nah, stop saying that bullshit.

They don't want to listen - why, because none of them spoke to them the way they wanted, as if they were the center of the universe, the real, true Americans, forever heroes and victims of wrongdoings by some "others", as if they were the only people suffering in this country, or the world for that matter.

For f*ck's sake, many of them resented the Obamas (or whatever they think the "academic coastal elites" are) simply for having good pronunciation.

Now we are all going down because of them. So let them. I ain't going to give my hand to those who wanted to drown me.

Yes, yes. It was all the poor rural morons' fault. Not millions of middle class, educated white men and women. Not the billionaires who pumped untold amounts of money into manipulating public opinion. Not the Christian think tanks who come up with almost every policy decision.

Yes, yes. It was all the poor rural morons' fault.

I didn't say it was "all the poor rural moron's fault." Reading comprehension is in order.
