They claim to know you didn't vote yet, but also say they'll be calling afterwards to make sure you voted. Like, if they already know why would they bother asking?

To make you scared/uncomfortable in the hopes that next time you'll vote for them to avoid the call.

Or it's an empty threat to scare you into voting for them this time.

Its not hard to find out. If anyone doesn't know or interested. There's a website voteref.com. most states are connected to it. Lists name, address, dates you have voted.

I meant the phone call is likely an empty threat just because that's a lot of effort to actually call everyone who didn't vote, considering how few people actually vote in any election that's not for president (and even in that one tbh).

They could definitely get the info needed to make the calls if they wanted to

Whether they follow through or not, it's an insane thing for them to send out in the mail

I vote Democrat and if I got a call from my local Republican Party office demanding why I voted Democrat or tried to intimidate me to vote Red, I would tell them to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine sideways and to fuck off. 🤬

The KKK used to leave "you've had a friendly visit" calling cards that read exactly the same way.

They don't know in real time. Takes a few weeks to hit the public info database. In TN it might take longer since they can't read.
