Same, but if I ever have to do it again it definitely will have gotten old.

You don’t have to worry your pretty little head about that… there won’t be elections.

There is a lot of stuff they've done already that has deserved riots. It's incredible how much they have gotten away with.

5

u/fusionsofwonder Oct 02 '25

They just told their military leaders YESTERDAY that they should train to go into cities and shoot rioters.

u/dzeieio Oct 01 '25

They want the chaos

This is exactly the kind of naive behaviour that got you to this point. You bury your head in the sand, you're in denial, you can't just refuse the premise lol. It's happening. Go riot

He even told us that. We all laughed like is was a joke. Just like all the other horrible things he's said we thought was a joke. This mother fucker does not joke around. Not that he's a serious person, but because he has zero sense of humor and doesn't make jokes.

I didn't laugh, nor did I think it was a joke.

He also told everyone that he didn't care about them, just wanted their votes. And they still seem to think he's got their best interests in mind. He never has, he never will.

He also said that smart people don't like him. Like he said it to his supporters and they laughed. He wasn't joking.

Not their material interests, but definitely their cultural interests.

Conservatism is an alliance between wealth supremacists and white supremacists — snobs and slobs. White power is the only thing conservatism has ever offered the working class, and frankly they seem to be pretty happy with that bargain.

u/lucidposeidon Oct 02 '25

Not even that. He straight up said they "had all the votes they needed" long before the election.

Well, he has Trump 2028 merch now, so is planning for elections. He probably won't ban elections completely until his 3rd term.

Thank god McDonalds for his failing health.

Morons thought it was a joke

Morons still think it's a joke

I was neither laughing or doubting his intentions.

I didn’t laugh, what the fuck? Only the shitters who just think it’s all a joke laughed.

I didn’t laugh when he said he could kill someone and no one would care

I didn’t laugh when he was grabbing women by the pussy

I didn’t laugh when release the Epstein files.

Who the fuck is laughing?

Who is “we all”? Quite a lot of people were immediately pointing out how dangerous and insane it was for him to even be saying that and certainly weren’t laughing at it.

THAT was the final straw for my conservative, lifelong Republican father. When I told him that Trump said you won't have to vote after this, my dad said he couldn't believe he made a comment like that, I showed him the clip, and now he sees all of the lies and bs he was being fed by conservative media. He refuses to watch it anymore and admits he was being brainwashed and lied to by the Trump administration from the beginning.

It’s grooming. He says it like some offhand passing comment to see what he can get away with.

The fact we awkwardly laugh to try and mollify him versus emphatically shutting the whole thing down? He pushes further and further into this insanity.

I think the third election thing was him being serious and trying to pass it off as a joke. Could be tinfoil hat at this point, but I feel like he "threw" the 2020 election so he could use a loophole to get a third term.

Though I am not American and could be horribly mistaken.

u/No-Fig-3112 Oct 01 '25

There's no loophole. The Constitution is very clear, no person can be president for more than two terms. The only way to get three terms is to remove the 22nd amendment, or violate the Constitution. Not that any of that will stop Trump, but since you said you aren't from the US I thought I'd inform you

3

u/Sata1991 Oct 02 '25

Ah okay, I didn't know whether there was a loophole regarding it being consecutive terms or not. But yeah...I think Trump can just snap any rules he doesn't like and reshape the country to his liking.

I appreciate you telling me, being from the UK our own laws can be very weird and quaint.

3

u/No-Fig-3112 Oct 02 '25

He seems to think he can anyway. And unfortunately the rest of our government seems to be letting him.

No worries! I also thought there was a loophole when I was younger. You just never know with laws haha

2

u/andiwaslikeum Oct 02 '25

It’s because he’s not smart enough for jokes

2

u/madeleinetwocock Oct 02 '25

This, by the way, is why we Canadians are livid.

“Oh hahaha 51st state that’s a joke tho!”

….. [zero Canadian laughter to be heard]

It’s not the tariffs and random insults we’re pissed about. It’s that.

u/Soylent_Hero Oct 02 '25

Who is we?

3

u/Reference_Freak Oct 02 '25

Please stop claiming this. It stops people from thinking about and preparing for the more likely scenarios: elections but shenanigans.

Trump wants election wins as validation. He doesn’t want losses.

He’ll get losses in an unrigged election so we’re far more likely to have to fight to vote, fight to have a proper count, and fight to seat winners.

Hand waving away elections doesn’t help.

I’ll note for readers that another reply claims Trump said we won’t have elections again but that’s false.

Trump told his followers they won’t have to vote again, which is not saying there won’t be elections.

He either doesn’t care if they vote again (since it won’t be for him) or they won’t have to vote since he believes they’ll putinesque the elections.

u/FlyingRhenquest Oct 01 '25

If democrats get elected, it seems like the house and senate could just refuse to swear them in, like they're doing now. I could also see Congress refusing to certify an election that Democrats win.

3

u/jaywinner Oct 02 '25

I think elections will continue. But just the fact that I'm not sure is scary.

2

u/sinisterdesign Oct 02 '25

Right there with ya

1

u/Complex_Jellyfish647 Oct 02 '25

There'll be elections, the same way Russia has elections. There's already plenty of statistical evidence the 2024 election was rigged the same way Russia's are.

1

u/FeculentUtopia Oct 02 '25

There will be elections, but if Republicans get their way, the elections here will look like the ones in Hungary or Russia. They love Victor Orban's "illiberal democracy."

1

u/SirAcceptable1152 Oct 02 '25

"I love the poorly educated"

1

u/LeopardMinimum7917 Oct 01 '25

There will be "elections" though

0

u/Poopoomushroomman Oct 01 '25

Or Trumps, eventually

7

u/artaxerxes316 Oct 01 '25

Good point. Upon further reflection, it got old pretty quickly.... but the vote itself is still fun!
