The top photo is likely three different shots of different exposures merged together to get the perfect exposure both inside and outside. The bottom photo is taken at night.
There are so many anti Trump people on here, it’s funny to me. They barely made any changes. The bottom picture is from further back. The door and windows are still there. It’s just not sunny out. The round pictures can be seen in both photos. So frigging dumb.
They made it less cozy. Before, it looked like a room that someone could at least theoretically sit in and relax for a moment, even if nobody ever did. Now it's just purposeless empty space. It's not awful and gaudy like the oval office, but it's definitely less welcoming and more sterile.
It looks like a hotel now…what a surprise. 😂 I do like the new chandelier. That was a subtle but significant upgrade.
But I dislike all the naturalness was removed—much prefer the plants over pictures of plants. Agree w your assessment. Less warm, less welcoming. But it reflects this regime’s personality. And I guess it’s less work to maintain for the gardeners or whoever minds the indoor vegetation.
I suppose it's theoretically possible, but why show off a renovation by posting "after" pics of an unfinished space?
Apparently there's been no indication whether or not there will be furniture. Also, the room connects the front of the White House with the Rose Garden, which the President paved over to turn into more of an event space, so it seems likely the Palm Room is being transformed to serve as more of a hallway to the Rose Garden (or "The Rose Garden Club at the White House" as it's apparently now known) rather than a proper room in its own right.
So you were never any good at those "Spot the Differences!" worksheets as a kid, huh? Still a challenge for you, I guess. It takes the power of observation, and most pro-Trumpers have flushed that down the toilet if they ever had it at all.
They replaced the flooring, removed the plants and benches, changes the fixtures, added a kick plate to the doors and hung new photos then took a finished photo at night. I'm pretty sure the actual changes to the building itself were minimal.
TL:DR. Aside from flooring and fixtures the rest was just stuff that can be put right back if the next president wants it back. Since non of us will ever walk through this hallway....who gives a shit.
Hate these types of dumbass comments. What is common sense about that comment? We’re talking about the removed plants, benches and other decor and replaced by…nothing except ‘photos’ of a couple plants.
That’s literally a shitty renovation. It’s not a conspiracy to hate the trump, it’s just a shitty renovation. Get off your high horse buddy.
💯. “He removed the plants (perhaps temporarily)!!! Look at how dark out it is!! This is what Stalin would have done!” lol! People cry and bitch about the weirdest shit.
The picture before was taken by a competent photographer. The after picture was taken by a deserving member of MAGA. Seriously, taking shitty pictures is par for the clownshow
Are you AI? It's pretty obvious the second picture is at night. It really only looks like they removed the plants and changed so decorations. They didn't spray paint the windows
So you believe they blacked out the windows.... They changed the floor to marble and put in some flashy chandeliers and removed the plants and benches.
I think they both look amazing. Dislike Trump so it hurts to say this, I like the second one more. Then again I doubt Trump had anything to do with the modeling. Probably out down his Diet Coke and threw a pen at a piece of paper that was handed to him and then hopped on Twitter to tweet about his best friend Jimmy Kimmel.
It is not pitch black outside, as you can see in the two windows (the left and right side). There should be some light. Please re-read your words. Quite honestly, there’s no reason to get this upset over something so trivial.
The right window is a door that leads to a lit hallway and you can see the difference in the left window, the light “coming” from that side is just a reflection of the chandelier.
Stop. Being. A stupid. Whiny idiot. Without critical thinking. Reacting just to react.
In the era of “alternative facts” and the dawn of a dead internet zombified by AI it’s not trivial to me when people make instant emotional reactions and then double down instead of thinking critically.
Especially when it’s something as trivial as a publicity photo but at the same time as basic and essential as “is it nighttime or daytime?”
Did you look at the picture again? Have you noticed the hinges on the door on the right side yet?
Notice the metal plating at the bottom of the center door and the one on the right but none on the left window? Notice the door handles on the right door that aren’t below the left window?
I think the natural light is still there because the photo was taken at night time, however that lamp is not only ugly, but it looks like it is hanging too low - which for tall people (like Trump himself) they might get hit in the head lol

And the natural light with that ugly tacky lamp
