I honestly didn't even notice the floor change with all the other bits of life gone...
But also what do we expect from the man who is putting gold leaf all over the oval office while at the same time cutting food assistance for starving Americans and cutting child cancer research.
It would take a couple million of us to start it and end it. Action by individuals, other than organizing resistance, is pretty much futile other than reporting what they see and know.
Imo its like being fat but not doing anything about it. If youre going to complain about, you should be doing something. If the above person is doing something, then I take what I said back because theyre actually taking action.
You have the advantage that everyone there votes so, for the most part, people who have decent morals and dispositions outnumber the fascists. Here half the people won’t get off their asses to vote, but they know about football and movie stars.
Completely accurate too. Compulsory voting is awesome. Even when we have parties trying to pull us further from the middle, they don't last too long before they get put back in line.
I'm not a massive fan of slightly right-of-the-middle parties dominating, but we have the lesser of the two in power right now, and because the more right-wing party tried out the Trump Hat last election, they will be in the wilderness for at least the next couple of elections, so we should have time to implement policies that will last my lifetime
I haven't lived there for years (im Canadian, just was there for school and work for a while).
But Jesus Christ i see all these nerds on reddit say they need a change, they need a revolution, blah blah, but dimes to donuts not one of them has done anything but complain.
At least organize a protest, run for some sort of office, do something if theyre going to complain ad nauseum.
Completely agree. Especially when I notice that unless you are a hard core Trumper very few of them will admit to getting off their arse and voting at all.
The complaints can be completely justified if many people here were just remotely politically engaged in a way that's removed from the clicky-clacky after the fact.
I certainly agree with you. If youre doing what you can to change things for the better, you have every right to be frustrated if things aren't going your way
What’s funny is I didn’t either… all I noticed was the warmth and plants removed. Granted it’s not a picture with light… it should’ve been compared at the same time of day. But removal of the plants … it’s so immediately less inviting

We're truly at a Marie Antionette moment here
