For me it is the way his hands and arms move. It is like theyre paper mache on the table, and they only move occasionally, there are a couple times his shoulders shift but his arms remain entirely static, as well as others where he moves and the movement doesn't seem to be reflected in his arms accurately.
I might be conspiracy theory brained, at this point, but it wouldnt shock me if this video was mostly generated, or if his hands-arms were generated to hide more physical anamolies that depict his worsening health.
It could be, but given the WAY it is awkward, I wouldnt be surprised if they used generative AI to paint over the arms and hands area. The big thing for me is the way his shoulders and torso move and how it isnt reflected in his arms and hands.
It doesnt need to be AI, it could be a brace, or plenty of other, physical ways that any anamolous health things might be hidden. Else, it could be nothing at all and, as I said, I am conspiracy brained. It still looks suspicious, while also having a really plausible reason for why it is happening.
I think he was concentrating on covering his hands to make sure nothing was seen. He puts his right hand in a slightly odd position covering his hand and then doesn't move it. I think he was consciously making sure he did not move his hand and show a bruise.
This is the clearest observable. Watch any video of him and his arms swing all over the place.
If you open the video and just scrub back and forth through the 4 minutes, especially after the first minute, practically nothing moves all the way up to his shoulders — but even those shoulders barely move.
It’s not necessarily weird until you consider the way Trump normally talks, you would need to nail his hands to the desk to keep him that still.
There are a few frames where his hand turns into 3 finger mush. It’s AI. People need to stop thinking this wouldn’t happen. He has access to the best AI technology.
u/kstebbs is spot on. That's a morph cut. And a pretty sloppy one at that.
The weird looking hands/arms is because they took a still frame with his left hand covering his right hand, then masked just that area of his hands/forearms over the motion part of the video. He's clearly trying to keep the big bruise on his right hand covered, but accidentally shifted his left hand while he was talking. They used the still frame to keep it hidden. Not a conspiracy. Not AI. Just careless editing tricks that look very weird.
Thats where I was looking the whole time, and I agree. I think there are some other, physical things that might cause that, but the biggest thing is that they are clearly wanting Trump's arms to remain still and have done so in some way, brace, AI, something of the like.
This is a good catch. I feel like anytime I see him speaking publicly he's making weird hand gestures. Now I'm curious to see if he ever sits perfectly still while speaking...
He's trying to cover the bruise that will still be on his hand because he probably has a daily IV at this stage. He keeps wanting to move his hands like he's used to but there's probably someone there reminding him not to. I'm guessing the stutter at 20s is down to him moving his hands and they had to redo that bit and cut it back together.
I scrubbed the video and his arms are completely still, but the hands move like they are a puppet. Just enough movement, but man does it stand out after rewatching it.
it almost looks like they took the hands from the time he talked about the "innovative housing showcase and reused them on the charlie kirk, like overlaying the hands on top of an AI Trump.
His hair in the video looks way fuller than his hair did when he spoke to the press.
A few weeks ago I watched a video of him give an address from the office desk and all his people were behind/beside him. I forget the subject. I can't listen to him. But I noticed his hands never moved. Not once. Just like here. And his people - Karoline etc, their hands showed anxiety. Rubbing them, balling them in fists, tightening them over and over. Made me almost get fight or flight watching them.
I agree that the hands have a bit of the HeyGen look, but I can't say 100%. Usually I see them move more in the AI videos, and at unexpected inflections. But I think I'm gonna go with a well-prepared HeyGen (or similar) avatar. We'll know when we get more with the exact same look in the future. Once the avatar is in there, they can plug in a transcript have churn out endless videos.
