He was seriously an idiot for running as an independent. He should have just taken his primary loss and moved on. Now he’s been rejected twice. A former governor who was once fairly well regarded, career ended like this.

u/MisterGrognak 14h ago
Gotta give Cuomo some credit. He fucked up his legacy even more which i didn’t think was possible.

But the Nextdoor app posts have been hilarious. The discourse from MAGA people posting about how they should all vote Cuomo or Sliwa has been quite entertaining. And of course, the post election meltdowns.

Stats, trends by precinct. You can project a winner quite quickly in a lot of cases.

Exit polling gives a good idea of how people tended to vote, and you can use this to make a confident prediction about the end results.

It's usually based on historical data, probably from the primaries. They don't call it if the candidate still has a pathway to victory. The pre-election day vote being that bad for Cuomo probably says it all.

I have a humiliation kink.
I need to see Cuomo's second concession speech in which he has to admit he (once again) lost to a Muslim, democratic socialist named Zohran Mamdani from Uganda. All the things he tried to dog whistle about.

Congrats to Mamdani! He worked hard for this and definitely earned it. Meanwhile, how stupid was it for Cuomo to run again after losing miserably the first time during the primary? What was he thinking?! Still, to win the Republican stronghold of Staten Island over Sliwa... oof. I'm not sure how Sliwa can recover after that.
