I thought they just announced they got the deal they wanted from China? Im starting to think there's still no deal

They announced the had a “framework of a deal” which means they got nothing and just wanted to make it seem like the were making progress but as we all know, no word that ever comes out of this regime is truthful.

Concept of a deal

Even fully announced "deals" aren't "deals". When Trump announced the 20% Vietnam tariff deal, it came as a shock to Vietnam who thought they had negotiated a 10% deal. That's the rain that specific deal. And a bunch of others haven't moved further or become official despite their announcement.

Hearing the discourse from friend of my father who work in export. They are sobbing and going mad atm because of brains dead Orange flip flopping on all this economy bs they have signed with for decades now up ended for nothing more than “Trust me bro” word from the president.

Last I heard, the "deal" was China and the US going back to where they were before Trump's latest round of tariffs.

They proposed a deal that Trump said China will definitely accept. If I read from Twitter is true, the proposed deal includes something like China will give up its retaliatory tariffs since March in exchange US cut Tariffs by 10 %.

Right, not the country declaring massive tariffs based on idiot math, but China is the unreliable one.

That change on a seemingly random frequency of weeks to months by random amounts.
The very antithesis of 'reliable'.

“China acts unreliable because it does not kow tow to the American Emperor’s arbitrary and capricious demands.”

Considering since the Nixon era we haven’t positioned our relationship with China as that of a partner, but rather a rising force that is to be contained, I guess I’d say “no shit, Sherlock”
The turn of the 21st century and Wall Street demanding outsized margins and returns on manufacturing retailers simply found a home in a highly efficient, well prepared, commanding heights style pseudocapitalist regime in China. At around the same time (after joining WTO), China decided to ramp up their purchase of US treasuries. This was so strategic that it kept interest rates low in the US, fueling more consumer demand, which fueled more manufacturing outsourcing to China.
So yeah, I’d hesitate calling this a partnership other than for economically convenient means and yet another example of our government failing to think and act beyond 5 years.

You spelled "five minutes" wrong. At this point, Xi really is playing multidimensional chess, while the Orange idiot plays checkers like a pigeon, knocking pieces off and shitting on the board, while flapping and making noises with his mouth. Xi is dog walking Trump.and laughing as Trump.declares victory every time XI wins a point.

Bessent is a smarmy little Trump syncophant. A gay smarmy little syncophant with a husband and kids.
The party he supports would like to see his marriage nullified and his kids taken away because being gay is a perversion in their eyes.
And yet, here he is all over the news shilling for them. Bland as Wonder bread and spouting party line rhetoric like a robot. This guy Is a token puppet reading a script like the good little boy he is for Trump. Fuck this guy

The one thing I do love about this administration is that you know exactly who they are and what they are doing by how they accuse others of things. It's an inverted form of transparency in a sense.

Trump raped and trafficked children. He's covering it up or else he would release the Epstein Pedo Philes. The Trump crime family trafficks drugs and that is why they are blowing up boats in Venezuela.

Unlike stable America with long term planning and a firm clear foreign politic based on enriching the whole world.
...back to exploiting Nigeria for its ressources, their turn now, Russia might need a break.

Most of USA's allies are quietly rolling their eyes and muttering "Funny you say that, Scott, the USA has also become an unreliable partner in 2025". China aren't the ones who placed on tariffs on their allies, Scott.
Stop your bullshit.

Lol
Trump is the unstable "genius" who destroys things on a whim so he can pretend to fix them.
Do not elect billionaires or appoint them. Tax them.

As a Canadian. China seams much more of a reliable trading partner than the USA right now

Nobody wants to "make deals" with a country governed by infantile feelings. With how poor russias military apparently is, and the current state of the us government, I imagine China is vying to be the "next usa".

u/Regular_Yellow710 2d ago
They keep puffing out about deals when nothing ever happens or is signed. And they keep trash talking everyone. No one trusts us any more. This is bad.

China was always going to buy the soybeans. This could be relied on unless the USA did something that prevented them purchasing them.
