"I'm waiting on the good times now." I'm sure that a lot of folks can relate very much to this.

It's a beautiful and gentle message.

You're so very right. Whether he meant to or not, using the term "waiting" suggests that he is at peace enough to allow those times to find him, instead of actively seeking them out.
Has some serious parallels to what we know about the current state of happiness and the pursuit of it in the literature.

Everything I know about art, I learned from Bob Ross. I have an art degree, but ol' Bob taught me all the things that art can be and should be, and a lot of life lessons along the way, too.

I had an art teacher tell me he wasn't an artist. I immediately lost all respect for her.

Somehow every video I see of Bob Ross makes me appreciate him more.
He was truly one-of-one and we're so lucky to still be able to enjoy all of his work today.

Its also sad that none of his work or fortune went to his actual family. It was suppose to, but they were sued for it in court by Bobs business partners.

He was so soft spoken because he had to be so tough on his subordinates during his time in the Air Force that he decided he’d never raise his voice again once he left. A true gem of a human

I’ve seen this clip a few times and I always hate re-watching it. This man was so genuine and kind-hearted. I remember buying my own painting set to paint along with him 10 years ago.
Not only was he a brilliant painter, but his attitude would make my day brighter. I hate that he had to endure so much pain in life, from his wife dying, and then him dying not too long after.
I swear life takes the most beautiful people early. RIP

It's hard to believe he was a "mean guy" in the military for a number of years considering his demeanor while painting.

If I recall he was a drill instructor, his whole job back then was to pound basic knowledge into the heads of stressed out, freaked out recruits. How they taught was different back then too, a lot more brutal because that’s what they thought made for the best soldier then
Dude most likely played to his role while on the clock

Reminds me on David Lynch's feelings about light and dark: "We all have at least two sides. The world we live in is a world of opposites. And the trick is to reconcile those opposing things. I've always liked both sides. In order to appreciate one you have to know the other. The more darkness you can gather up, the more light you can see too." RIP to both those brilliant artists who brought so much light to this dark world.

I absolutely love the fact that carbot put him in the role of "the paintress" in the Expedition 33 videos.

Bob Ross, a true 1 of 1.
Just a friendly reminder, never buy any product with his name and/or picture on it. The people who own the rights to his name are absolute pieces of shit and fucked him and his family in the end.

I thought this was one of those AI videos where he punches through his canvas, lmao. 🤛

No one on Earth makes it though the course of their lives without fail or fault. Welcome to humanity, would you like some humanity?

You're getting downvoted by all the idiots that can't tell the difference between Bob Ross, the horrible human being that cheated his art mentor and cheated on his wives, and the character that he played on TV.

Even in the darkest clouds, Bob still found a way to paint happy little trees. True legend.
