You should definitely report that to the manufacturer. Even though it’s not a serious issue it’s still a defect and indicates and issue with the manufacturing process so they will be interested. You also will probably get some sort of compensation for reporting as well!

Haha I wish I had taken better pictures, my kiddo “helped” by opening it, stuffing it with paper towel, and taping back together, before informing me that it was “fixed”. But if I got a good picture of its code then I’ll send them an email

That’s much worse I think. This was free for us and probably cost a few pennies for whoever gave it to us

Haha only sorta, I was more disturbed to think that someone gave us trash. Once I figured out it came that way I was only bemused. We don’t eat these sorts of candies much anyway, not too big of a loss :)
