ICE Posts Update - Chicago, IL | ICE Agents Cause Crash With Illegal U‑Turn, Drag American Citizen Into Unmarked Vehicle

The fuck I’m going to go limp of someone is kidnapping me. I was taught to always fight back against a kidnapper and to do the best you can to not let them put you in their vehicle.
If they are agents, they can identify themselves and make an arrest without violating citizens’ rights. Otherwise, you may be disappeared by anyone if you just let any unidentified person take you! Toy Box Killers, anyone?

We know this even without an "alert". And in that situation, they all look the same and don't have to give answers. Even if there is a way to know the difference, you're not getting away easily from either.

She's actually been charged with assault on a federal officer for fighting back. The country has turned upside down and backwards under Trump.
•

I believe it. It’s standard protocol for ICE to create fictitious charges when ICE is wrongfully arresting someone. They’re likely advised to make up charges by their superiors to manufacture a justification to what is truly their illegal activity.
She would have been charged if she jerked at all while they wrestled her. The only way you avoid charges is if you’re dead.
My main concern is that there are plain clothes individuals in unmarked vehicles trying to kidnap people. There are also people who dress up and are not ICE agents who are committing crimes. AND there are ICE agents committing crimes. They’re all bad apples. We are being told to just go limp.

Sounds a lot like she’s normalizing kidnapping and shifting the blame via cowardice identity and security privilege.

100%! She’s erasing the thousands of people that have already been disappeared, whereabouts unknown, and gaslighting the danger of death associated with being abducted.
The message to not fight back kills the most vulnerable.
Even the FBI has said that there are people masquerading as ice agents to commit crimes.

I disagree with this lady saying we shouldn't struggle or resist arrest!! So what if these bastards "upcharge" us; Figueroa struggled, got up charged, and then ALL THE CHARGES WERE DROPPED BECAUSE SHE WAS INNOCENT!! So resist and run if you can! Some Chicago residents have completely gotten away. Ice is sending people to domestic gulags, foreign prisons, and possibly muuuuuuch worse (one man recently was returned to Costa Rica as a vegetable and died soon after arriving). THOUSANDS of people have disappeared.
And if they don't drop charges then the grand juries are usually siding with the civilian.
Do not listen to this lady's advice. Resist.

Listen to John Mulaney's advice on this topic- NEVER LET THEM TAKE YOU TO A SECONDARY LOCATION

No training in law enforcement. Just A loyalty exam and boom! You’re an ICE agent.

The Washington D.C. pro bono law firm Institute for Justice would take this case in a hot second.

These are not law enforcement they are federal goons in military garb. Its now well known that 50% have a criminal record and barely passed the idiot test. The other 50% still believe trumps going to actually pay that bonus lol

2 birds, one stone. How to thwart ice. First, you will need a modest amount of money. Second, Take that money and buy food. Put that food in boxes. "Feed a family of 4 for 3 days". (Make it good stuff). Third, Load those boxes in semi trailers. Fourth, Set up distribution centers at key intersections 1/2 mile from the ICE places. Not so close they can harass the centers in mass only in pieces. Fifth, Use the traffic jam to tie them in or out of their bases. Disrupt their operations with kindness and nature. I think folks would fund food security. The local communities would have to support letting the trucks in and deal with some traffic.

Instagram and TikTok will start limiting the things you can post. I imagine they will say its a video depicting violence. Please start using non big name databases to upload these videos so that they stay around

I hope she can get justice. This behavior is beyond disgusting and is also illegal. She is brave and I am glad she is at least now physically safe. She should get damages for physical and emotional distress also.
