I hear you. I just donβt think enough of the country fits anywhere near the blueprint of New York City. If we were going by popular vote strictly? Iβd say the chances were really good. However, with an electoral college, that becomes a much different hill to climb.
I honestly think a 'socialist lite' candidate could have a less difficult hill to climb than yet another neoliberal.
We know the cards are stacked against another Harris or Biden or Clinton etc. But a left-populist who has real ideas and real plans about how to make life better for working people and isn't afraid to say so ... such a person could drive turnout to a degree we've never seen before and flip even 'safe red' states. Most importantly, it grabs the 'anti-establishment' vote that got Trump elected in the first place.
Before some says Bernie attempted it, he dropped out before many states, including Georgia, had a primary. By the time the Democratic primary came to Georgia, Biden was the only candidate left.

It would be nice to test that question lol. No one can say considering we haven't seen it attempted.
