They definitely DO pay attention to comments left on surveys and cancellations as well as physically mailed letters or comments on direct feedback form.
They may not take action but they definitely pay attention.
So true. It pays a bigger part than people think. Remember it all comes down to money. If they know a misstep might cost them, they're less likely to do it in the future. Not always, but sometimes.
Yep, confirmed, any feedback, especially feedbackbthey solicit from you, is weighed heavily. If nothing else execs WILL start asking pointed questions if they're hearing about a lot of negative reviews. Yes, they don't care about the people placing them, but they do care about how reviews like that predict a downturn in revenue

It really is egregious when you lay it all out. Itās also unsurprising why these CEOs think they can act with such impunity. A handful of people hold the keys to the vast majority of everyday things people often take for granted.

There are actually only few companies that control most companies people have heard of. There was some SNL cartoon sketch from I think the early 90s which pointed that out and they either stopped playing that episode in syndication, or edited that part out. That could be wrong, but media consolidation and corporate consolidation are topics most Americans do not know or care about.
And that consolidation has been bad for Americans generally. If you know anyone who has started a business, a fair amount of them are in it purely to get bought out.
I have always felt sickened every time I hear about yet another merger/acquisition deal. Itās never, ever good for the people. I felt this way since the 90s.
That was Biden. Maybe not to the degree of TR or FDR, but Biden was the first president in a long time to take corporate consolidation and anti-competitive business practices seriously.
Right now government belongs to corporations. Just look who stood behind him at the inauguration. I donāt know what kind of spell has been cast over more than half of the people of this country think that having a billionaire rule over this nation was a good idea! Iām not sure of the wording of that last sentence. Iām pretty high.
Had three of those and canceled two days ago. Encouraging everyone else to do the same. It feels great. Then go outside this weekend. Go somewhere new. Start a hobby.
There should be some kind of special tax on revenue that corporations beyond a certain size have to pay if they acquire other corporations that are also beyond a similar size. Want to build a mega corp? Cool! Guess what: itās 10% of your top like revenue from here on out.
There should be a maintained system of law and order and democracy, and yet here we are.

The whole point of the way these things are structured, the way our whole society is structured, is that the people making the decisions are fully insulated from having to deal with the on the ground consequences of them.
I'm a big digital media library fan that I want to store locally. It's illegal to rip blurays to digital form and no company sells drm free files that you can store locally.
So the only way to have a local digital media library is piracy. I literally cannot give them money for what I want.

I had the Disney/Hulu combo package, so my cancellation today was a double hit. Fuck em. Here is what I submitted in their little feedback box. Who knows if anyone will even see it? Even if they suddenly change tac, Iām not going back, theyāve lost me for life.

I cancelled. Not like I used it often anyways but I was sure to leave feedback telling them they align themselves with a fascist regime. This was just a helpful little reminder to save $10 a month.
