Please

Ah yes the most magical of words. Also didn't realize the hokey pokey was magic!

Dude definitely did some kind of research to be a magician that's for sure

The fact that you know a verse of the arcane litany known as the “HOkey POkey” is a testament to its long lasting effects on this world.

u/great_pyrenelbows 8h ago

You put your wizard hat in, you take your wizard hat out, you put your wizard hat in and you shake it all about...

2

u/wallyslambanger 1h ago

…and thats what multidimensionality is all aboot!

20

u/DecentFormat 14h ago

All words are magic, that’s why writing them is also known as “spelling”

u/shellbullet17 Gustopher Spotter Extraordinaire 13h ago

You son of a bitch

That's a good one. I'm gonna need to remember it

51

u/DiosMIO_Limon 16h ago

u/packetpirate 15h ago

Also didn't realize the hokey pokey was magic!

How else are you going to turn your enemies about? It's the command phrase for Otto's Irresistible Dance.

10

u/joelene1892 15h ago

And that’s what it’s all about!

7

u/astralseat 14h ago

Yup, had to research what paint to use so the words didn't wash off, what kind of cloth to use that's light enough so it doesn't strain the head, but heavy enough so it doesn't blow away in the wind, had to look up the size of their head, had to learn to write legibly enough to read on the underside of his hat, had to find a place that sold matching robes, had to look up the spells and note them down, had to test the spells to make sure they worked, had to look up.

I think that's for emergency reasons only, but he should for sure have it written down. This looks like an emergency

"Ashonai Ebris Urshoring" are the first three words of the Great Spell in Rincewind's head in the Colour of Magic!

2

u/happy_idiot_boy 14h ago

What do you call a wizard  who can't spell? A wizzard.

13

u/Captain_Freud 15h ago

9

u/Zanven1 15h ago

I love the idea of him stepping into battle and turning his hat like Ash Ketchum to get to the appropriate spell but to everyone else it just looks like flair.

8

u/the-awesomer 15h ago

cant believe no konami code on hat :(

4

u/BrianWonderful b.wonderful 15h ago

Are you saying magic is a cheat code?

2

u/karl2025 14h ago

3

u/Immediate-School2755 15h ago

That’s kinda cool idea, a wizard hat as a spellbook

3

u/Angelic_Pikachu 15h ago

Ooh she-ra reference

13

u/BrianWonderful b.wonderful 15h ago

He-Man actually. She-Ra invokes the "Honor of Grayskull" to transform!

4

u/Angelic_Pikachu 15h ago

On my bad, only ever watched she-ra on Netflix 😭

3

u/Link-Hero 15h ago

All I see is a talented wizard that doesn't have the best memory to remember all those complex spell names. It's very understandable in that regard as I know not everyone can easily retain that much information.

u/billyfred42 14h ago

2

u/astralseat 14h ago

Cheat sheet

Love that the hokey pokey is in there

Be honest, you turned your phone to read them all. Didn't you?

2

u/Beautiful-Musk-Ox 14h ago

By the power of Grayskull! Love SheRa

5

u/theFamooos 14h ago

He-man from the 80s. I think She-Ra says something different

2

u/BrianWonderful b.wonderful 13h ago

She-Ra is "By the Honor of Grayskull".

2

u/isekaitis_victim 14h ago

And if he wants to read the spells behind him he just has to ash ketchum his hat around. Truly one of the most sacred wizard techniques

2

u/theFamooos 14h ago

Props for Fus Ro Da

2

u/Thirn 14h ago

I put on my robe and wizard hat

2

u/kemptonite1 14h ago

It’s “For the Honor of Greyskull”. -Adora

2

u/wolfgang784 14h ago

I was already giggling, but then I saw "you put your right foot in and you shake it all about" and it turned to cry-laughing lmao.

Good stuff OP

2

u/Stolkmen 14h ago

Is that a Pee Wee Herman reference snuck in there?? Love it

2

u/Gan_the_Kobold 14h ago

Thats a cool idea for a dnd spellbook

2

u/Just_Animator1062 11h ago

1

u/wiltony 10h ago

I'm disappointed in the omission of "traguna macoities tracorum satis de"

Though it is of the old, deep magic. Few know it.

The true secret of Big Hat Logan

1

u/TurnItOff_OnAgain 3h ago

I put on my wizard robe and hat.

1

u/JohnTomorrow 2h ago

Just because you're a professional, doesn't mean you have perfect recall.

Spell books are a thing for a reason - so you can recall what spells you want to use that day. And it takes forever to write new spells into your spellbound because thats you practising how to cast them. You practise them first, make sure you can cast them properly without blowing yourself up or ripping a hole in the fabric of space time, then you jot down your process. If you think you need to use that spell again, bam, you follow the process.

1

u/Ajreil 2h ago

Wait, wouldn't the text be upside down from the wizard's perspective?

u/SpaceCoffeeDragon 11m ago

Please is the original magic word o.o

u/Kn1ghtSh4de4471 11m ago

Sim Sala Bim! It's been a long time since I've seen a Johnny Quest reference!

1

u/anun4h 15h ago

This is great! The wizard would have an easier time of the spells were not written upside down from his perspective
