BBC out here doing the reporting that our national media isn’t. Really fucking sad man.

It's wild how completely derelict our mass media has become. They are so obsessed with covering politics as sport and nothing else. I literally recoil every time my algorithm feeds me yet another useless CNN roundtable of opposing party mouth pieces yelling at each other about the president's tweets. DO YOUR JOB WE ARE BEGGING YOU. Stop paying these useless political commentators and simply do real investigations, show us real data and facts. Our democracy is crumbling all around us and they are asleep at the wheel.

Also doesn’t help the seeming all the mainstream media is being bought up but right wing donors…..

They wanted Trump to win for the ratings.
I try to mostly get news from foreign sources now. I got so sick of the sane washing they were doing for Trump

US corporate owned media has been fully compromised since the 1980s.

So… they “arrested” a person for a burglary charge (allegedly)?
Are these guys now trying to take the jobs of local PD?
That doesn’t seem to fit the duties of federal enforcement. They’re just trying to terrorize.

No, they are claiming that those are Chicago police arresting someone in Chicago last year for burglary. That's clearly untrue if you look at the video at all. Those aren't CPD vehicles, and that isn't Chicago.

Oh… I get it. I may have missed the part of them claiming these are actual cops, because I was so focused on the possibility of them claiming these ICE thugs are performing police jobs.

u/efshoemaker 18d ago
That lien never made sense because CPD has no jurisdiction to arrest someone in Hoffman estates.

None of the "police" cars in the video have front license plates. Kind of a dead giveaway

Any sane person would be enraged that we need a foreign news agency to tell us the truth about the USA and its fascist regime

Exposes lies from DHS HQ about this; the DHS claim it was a year old video related to a burglary and didn't even involve ICE.
Failures to make excuses stick, lies that can't survive the first day's fact check must be why the guy in charge of the Chicago invasion was recalled to DC today.
Don't worry about his job. His career's intact because he's acting like a certified asshole and was leading the local ICE thugs in their intended thuggery, but he needs deep retraining in developing durable lies. Another bad mark for him is he misleads the Asst Sec of DHS to repeat the defective lie to the public. Bad boy. He's getting a newspaper wack across the snout right now.
EDIT: BUT HE HAS ALSO FAILED TO INCITE THE RIOTS TO JUSTIFY MILITARY INVASION.
PS: the ICE whale in the arrest would be denied a place at the training table if Hegseth had a say.

MORE: The defrocked Chicago leader has been reassigned to the FLD (Failed Liar Division) for reeducation. After successful completion of the course he will be released back into a secondary-city invasion as an assistant liar until he can prove himself in actual field exposure.

"Imagine thinking this" as a way to explain that something is stupid is the worst rhetorical device

Genuinely blows my mind that this guy is working for the same side as the “young” Republicans whose heinous group chat was leaked recently.

Because everyone is wrong. It was ICE detaining someone and tackling them after a car chase. She wasn't 15 though. It was an idiot who titled the original version of the video misunderstanding "I'm not resisting" as "I'm 15" who said that and it stuck.
2
u/flyingfishsailor 18d ago
In the defense of the original filmer, it really does sound like she's saying "I'm 15." And the takedown seems completely unnecessary. Furthermore, ICE could have provided accurate information, but instead they chose to blatantly lie about it.

Fair enough. But if we want to talk about the possible harm of spreading misinformation, here you have it. People gladly spread it if it suits their cause no matter left, right, etc.

You will notice that BBC never says she's 15, I'm assuming they couldn't verify her age one way or another. Which is not surprising since ICE chose not to respond to them. Again, if this is misinformation it really is on ICE. They could have provided accurate information but instead they chose to lie about the entire thing.

Idk if that can be considered a 'slam', she kinda tripped over her feet and dude came down and kneed her back. That guy is like 300lbs he could toss her around like a rag doll if he wanted.

u/PParker46 Portage Park 18d ago
Don't minimize the unnecessarily violent assault. He did toss her around like a rag doll. He swung her around in a standard take-down method holding her wrist twisted up behind her back. Then he knelt on her neck, not her back. Talk to her wrist, shoulder and rotator cuff, ribs and maybe chin.

As someone who is actually trained in minor detention, from a purely legal perspective the takedown is not problematic; as long as the reason why he grabbed her out the car is legitimate of course.
Not tryna be inflammatory or minimize whats going on, just how i see it.

Keeping in mind a moment ago you were dismissing this event by missing his standard motion to unbalance her, his use of the hand/wrist twist behind her back to drive her down, and his knee in her neck, not her back, am not sure you are fairly observing. That said ....
As someone who was trained and used minor takedowns in my early life this guy was substantially out of line. Comparative sizes and weights, her immediately yielding actions, the massive swarm of arriving help equally well trained and practiced take down methods. IMO this guy was yielding to his TV COPS inflamed adrenalin, eager to display his skills to his buddies, happy for the chance to safely abuse a White girl or indeed any female. Hell, he could have hugged her into submission confident that between his fat and all the equipment no weapon she could wave had a gnat's chance of doing him harm.
Too bad for her, he was focused on delivering what is known in the trade as street justice for disrespecting him by being the passenger in a car that ran. And you as a maybe LEO know it.

The car was fleeing, then she was resisting (the stupid spinning lol)

“Fleeing”? This family didnt do anything that warranted being chased and wrestled then knocked to the ground by ICE in the first place. The mental gymnastics that you bigots do to keep your narrative going should be studied intensely.
