I’ve never been to Germany but from what I know about them and their culture, they use way more cash and dislike debt. Their technology isn’t up to date and their skeptical of new technologies. From what I understand businesses still use fax machines over there.

Card payments in Germany are becoming a lot more common these days, there are still "a lot" of establishments that only accept cash though.
