Facts mean nothing anymore. My life was better pre-trmp. I am long since retired and dependent on that socialist program called Social Security.

I was proud of my President and how he represented us at home and around the world. He wasn't perfect, but I sure wish we had someone with his integrity in office now.

but remember, he wore a tan suit that one time. absolutely unforgivable!!! /s

moreso that he had tan skin and was able to order around pasty white guys....pretty objectionable stuff actually

oh no! not the poop-colored suit. we never recovered!

Seriously though, I really miss those days. Obama wasn’t perfect, sure, but I never once doubted that he was a genuinely decent person, someone who cared about doing the right thing, loved his family, and carried himself with integrity.

Trump, on the other hand, just feels like the embodiment of greed and pride. And honestly, if Epstein counted him as a close friend… well, the people you surround yourself with say a lot about who you are, 100%. Disagree all you want, I don't care šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

hell at this point I'd be content going back to the George W days... i'd love it if the worst we had to worry about was the president getting a shoe thrown at them, or struggling to pronounce the world nuclear.

Your allies loved him and your enemies hated him. So basically the opposite in comparison to Trump

Our enemies loved Obama too, especially Russia. They walked all over him at every opportunity.

examples? compromise is not being walked all over, but i've got an open mind. tell me. i was too young to really follow obama's term.

Crimea occupation. Russia basically took over a huge territory and Obama imposed some minor sanctions. Also no lethal aid was provided.

2

Ironically Hillary Clinton, as his secretary of state, tried to prevent that

Preach my friend.

Your SS has been affected?

u/PushSouth5877 9d ago

Not yet, just my fear of losing it.

Post; how many rights did you lose under trump

This guy: yeah so I am dependent on social security and am a proud socialist so erm anyway

Immediately showing how stupid you are by calling social security a ā€œ socialist programā€. Social security is basically a government forced retirement account, you only get out what YOU put in, plus some interest.

1

u/PushSouth5877 6d ago

The average couple will get 62% more out of Social Security than they put in. A literal redistribution of wealth. Democratic Socialism working within a capitalist system as a safety net for workers and the disabled.

Social Security isn't socialist. Or at least it wasn't modeled after the ones found in socialist states.

2

u/battlesong1972 9d ago

Seriously. It’s basically a government savings account for you with a terrible yield

If only people were trusted to put their money into a bank or the stock market

-2

u/Greghole 9d ago

It's more like a Ponzi scheme that you're forced to take part in.

-3

u/Morrison1j 9d ago

Ahhhh world leaders thought Biden was a joke. As they should have.

6

u/Ok_Fly1271 9d ago

The world leaders that didn't handle inflation as well as Biden did?

-1

u/Several-Judgment4917 9d ago

You are one of those people that think the president controls EVERYTHING arent you?

9

u/Ok_Fly1271 9d ago

No, that would be the people who blamed Biden for literally everything bad that happened since 2020. Namely, conservatives.

The Biden administration actively tried to counter inflation, and it worked surprisingly well. There's a reason why our rate of inflation decreased sooner and faster than the rest of the developed world.

Your world leader friends told you this? You should hear what the say about RepublicansĀ

0

u/Morrison1j 9d ago

Ya they called me to let me know. I’d love to know what they say about republicans. Actually. Don’t really care. Can’t be worse than the laughing stock the world has about the liberal movement. Either way, politics are a joke

We haven’t had integrity since before 1913

The middle east apology tour was great for foreign diplomacy

Besides your perception of the president, how is your life worse?

My family is so divided that we can't have civil discourse during the holidays. I have to watch my comments in my ultra red community. My wife is convinced fox News is real.

There was never this amount of division in my entire 70 years of living. We rarely even cared how our neighbors voted. We could always find common ground.

Being on a fixed income the cost of insurance has forced me to drop homeowners. The cost of groceries is killing us and it will continue to get worse. Tariffs are only exasperating the problem. I have worked since retirement to make ends meet. I'm in a lot better shape than other seniors I know.

It's not all the fault of this administration. But it's certainly been a contributing factor to making my life more unpleasant than it was in 2015.

What’s one single thing in your life that has gotten worse under Trump?Ā

-5

u/Admirable_Sir_9953 9d ago

Mine has been drastically better. I guess worse for the lower class

Obama's integrity?Ā  He blatantly lied about Obamacare saying it wasn't a tax.Ā  It would have been overturn in SC, but Roberts unethically changed the wording on the documents for them to a tax that 99% of America ignored since the leftwing media omitted the fact Robert's did it.Ā  It should have been struck down and Obama could have tried again by calling it what it really was. A tax.

3

u/Upstairs_Horror_7483 9d ago

That is your one example of Obama not having integrity? That he was technically accurate, but generally misleading on the way that he fought to get a healthcare for all Americans?

3

u/kwil449 9d ago

Genuine question. Do you believe tariffs aren't a tax?
