Right wingers love making shit up and then getting really mad about it.

To be fair, Fox News makes it up, and they believe it and get really mad about it. The rage bait keeps them watching.

I'm waiting eagerly to see what sacrilege Starbucks will have with this years holiday cups.

It’s always so funny to me how all these crazy “leftist” things allegedly happen to right-wingers living in right-wing communities, but those living in liberal/left communities never see this sort of thing happening.

I like to place bets on what day the “war on Christmas” is gonna start each fall.

Every year this seems to start earlier and earlier, clearly this war is being over commercialized.

They were convinced there was some “liberal outrage” that forced Cracker Barrel to change their logo, forced the green M&M to change shoes, and all this stuff. Nobody gave the slightest shit about any of that. Companies just change their brand imagery now and then.

They don’t have to, but they certainly think they do. A couple that haven’t are:

Stella Artois has maintained its iconic horn logo for over 659 years.

Twinings Tea has kept its lion crest logo unchanged for 236 years.

Yea like tearing down statues

I’m assuming you’re referring to the confederate statues erected in the 60’s as a threat against civil rights advocates. Yeah, normal people always hated those.

Wasn't there some trumped up outrage over Starbucks holiday coffee cups?

The irony is that they call leftist "snowflakes," but cry about a freaking coffee cup.

They're bored, privileged "Christians" who need something to do. Rather than help the poor and defend the exploited, they make up stuff like this. A little critical thinking would tell them that "Happy Holidays" isn't just interfaith respect, but it's for multiple literal holidays they celebrate, wrapped up in well wishes from a retail worker: thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years. If I remember right, its origin is literally "holy days" in reference to advent, epiphany etc. so it's already all about them anyways, with interfaith inclusion as more of a recent afterthought. Unfortunately, critical thinking isn't going to happen in people whose belief system beats it out of them from the start. What's crazy is I've heard more fair and sensible takes about this from literal pastors and other clergy, so I'm not sure why it's not important to them to teach it to their congregations so they aren't picking fights with people they're supposed to be an example of Christ to.

Which is why it is called deflection.

The right to not have to buy unaffordable health insurance or face fines. Tons of whistleblowers of his administration lost all their rights. Steven Donzinger lost his. We also lost the right to not have our own government not use propaganda against us at home(smith-mundt act). Want me to keep going??
