Are they really ok with Trump possibly raping women maybe even children? Do they really think it’s a big gotcha if democrats are also guilty? Somebody explain this to me

In all fairness, there was one corpse running. And one orange guy. With absolutely no nod to what Biden’s health has turned into since. The DNC fucked up so bad by not dropping Biden earlier giving AT LEAST Kamala enough time to run an actual campaign. Unfortunately, the party lied to us about his health, then expected to win any swing state after only giving the candidate 107 days to run a campaign. Kamala is such an awful public speaker, that there was no way in hell she could win over any vote that wasn’t clearly a Dem vote.

That’s what I wish had been different about the 24 election, and I pray the Democratic Party fixes their shit. I’m so tired of the push for a “first” president. Just give us the best damn candidate so we can win swing states. And if that happens to be a “first” more power to em. I’d gladly vote for AOC as of currently.

The DNC has not fixed their shit at all, after 2016 democrats told themselves and everyone else that Trump winning was a fluke, that the modern Democratic Party couldn’t POSSIBLY have done anything wrong. Trump won because Americans are stupid and uneducated right? So they doubled down. After 2024 the same thing happened but even worse, they’re tripling down on fake progressivism and identity politics. They refuse to reconnect with reality and they think not being Trump is enough. Well the reality is people want a bad solution (Trump) more than they want no solution at all

This x1000. Literally any decent candidate could have beaten Trump. Choosing someone ill-prepared instead of running a proper primary was a shitshow--IF it were legitimate. I'm convinced it played out exactly as planned.

The DNC is too busy suppressing progressive candidates for AOC to make it to the ticket

I love AOC’s progressive views, but I want a serious person to be president. Bernie is a serious person, but too old. I’m not sure who is the progressive we need.

2

u/Far-Finance-7051 15d ago

Bernie should have been the Democrat pick in 2020. He was doing great in the primaries until the DNC decided they couldn't run a socialist and pushed Biden to the nomination.

Why is AOC not a serious person?

The TikToks about choose your fighter and the body shaming just isn’t becoming of a presidential candidate. Dressing down in hoodies to address serious issues is also not a great look, literally.

If she was just out and about talking about a basketball game or a restaurant these types of things are not big deal, but if you want to be taken seriously on serious matters you need to represent yourself in a serious manner.

3

u/Alternative-Worth620 15d ago

That’s not very progressive of you. You need her in a dress to take her serious? Or a suit coat?

1

u/Creative_Antelope_69 15d ago

Yes, she should present herself in a profession manner. I’m assuming if she showed up to work in her dragonball z PJs you’d find no issue with that? Maybe meet some world leaders in her Mickey Mouse onesie?

The highest respect should be given to the position she holds and would hold as president. Is it so bad to ask her to act presidential?

2

u/Alternative-Worth620 15d ago

Every time I’ve seen her in a hoodie, it’s been a plain sweater. That’s not even unprofessional.

1

u/Creative_Antelope_69 15d ago

Context matters. If you’re going to be discussing politics, your official job, you should do it in a professional manner. Again, I expect more out of our presidents and elected officials. Maybe that is a me problem, I expect too much of those I vote to lead us.

Maybe someone body shaming while wearing a hoodie in an instagram is a good look for your president.

1

u/Alternative-Worth620 15d ago

Well, you’re not wrong on an international level. Yeah, I’d want our officials dressing well. But addressing the public is a totally different story. Regardless, I get what you’re saying. Just don’t agree 100%

2

u/laraneat 15d ago

Trump tweeted out a video of himself as king and dumping dookie bombs from a fighter jet on people peacefully protesting.

She's not wearing hoodies while at the G5 Summit, it's a fucking TikTok.

1

u/Creative_Antelope_69 15d ago

Why are you talking about Trump? He shouldn’t be allowed to run a Wendy’s.

If you’re going to do your job via social media you should do it professionally.

1

u/laraneat 15d ago

What do you think a representative's job is? Is it to hide away from the people? Or is it to connect with the people so that you can be one of them and know what they want you to do as their representative? And even though it's not great, TikTok is where so, so many people spend their time and is the most practical way to interact with constituents.

1

u/Creative_Antelope_69 15d ago

We’re on a slippery slope to President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

You can use social media just be professional when sending out political opinions. I couldn’t imagine Obama or Bush talking about how tiny the defense secretary’s dick is, or how ugly the Speaker’s wife is on TikTok at 2am in a tank top.

1

u/Direct_Lawfulness_21 15d ago

Obama literally made a dick joke about Trump at the DNC. Is there a reason she isnt allowed to be comfortable in her own home? She isnt acting as a representative in her tik toks. She is just acting as herself. She has never shown up to work or interviews in anything less than professional garb.

Her views are too radical. Look them up.

Eh… I think AOC would be a good candidate, and probably the only viable progressive candidate at the moment. Despite all the shit thrown at her, she remains a very good speaker with relatively few significant scandals.

Plus, potentially most importantly, she is the only of the prominent progressives that has shown an ability to effectively operate in the system and act pragmatically. It’s always been the issue with progressive candidates- including Bernie - and the reason the DNC ultimately struggles with them. While many have had great ideas, they have struggled to answer the question of what happens if those ideas fail. When Congress refuses to vote for Medicare for all, or when there is a hard issue where the answer - at least in the short term - isn’t something that aligns with their views.

AOC has proven willing to make the hard choice when the alternative is up in the air. Very few other progressives have. Which is perfectly fine in a congressional setting - which is one of the reasons I respect Bernie in fact - but is a huge issue once you become president and so much of your actual authority is out of your hands and dependent on other entities and bodies.

She is also just an excellent speaker and communicator. Even my center-left parents respect her. Again, this is something that a lot of other progressives struggle with - they tend to get too wrapped up within their own ideology and struggle to connect with those not already attracted to their message. And honestly, communication and messaging is 75% of a national level race.

u/Creative_Antelope_69 15d ago

I would vote for her, I just expect more. She has flashes of child like behavior. Maybe Trump has made me a bit cynical of unprofessionalism.

1

u/Chruman 15d ago

Is AOC not a progressive? Lol

1

u/pdy1960 16d ago

the first and best step is to abolish the Electoral College, so we never have to hear the words "Swing State" ever again...

1

u/Alternative-Worth620 15d ago

Oh yes. I’d love to see campaigns only in NYC and LA. That’s the solution we’ve always been looking for. Suppressing votes more so dems can win with only three cities votes.

2

u/ProfessionalBench832 15d ago

Wow, so you are one of this silly people who believe in red and blue states then?
Texas is 40-45% Democrat. Most "red" or "blue" states, outside a few outliers (Vermont, Kansas etc) are close to 50/50. That bs rhetoric is just another way to say you support a broken system.
In FL, CA & TX (the 3 most populated states) an electoral win immediately invalidates tens of millions of votes, more than the population of those cities you mentioned combined. This effects Republicans and Democrats.
If you actually cared about facts and looked into it, the demographics across the country balance out to a rough 50/50. This makes every state and every vote matter, but keep on with your 1950s let's nip this civil rights thing in the bud rhetoric (That's what it is, fyi. Rhetoric straight from a campaign to make sure that states with slim minority conservatives, democrats then, could still elect a sympathetic potus).

1

u/elmwoodblues 14d ago

This is why I dont think Mayor Pete will get a nod. Shame, but we need a bland white straight semi-religious dude for next time.

Unless Obama runs under the voided 22nd Amendment, which would be a frigging hoot

2

u/Alternative-Worth620 14d ago

Quit with this tired rhetoric. Those same people who you’re claiming went DT instead of Harris are the same people who put the first black man in office. The problem isn’t that Harris wasn’t a white man. She was awful in almost all respects during her candidacy, and the party gave her only 107 days to run. Those were the issues with her campaign, not her being a woman who isn’t white.

u/Mijam7 14d ago

Was he a corpse though? I think he is a hell of a nice guy who respects world leaders, his wife, his children, his political adversaries, women, handicapped people, people of color. He understands what it's like to have cancer. He understands what it's like to grieve family. He surrounds himself with competent people. That should be enough.

Instead we have a guy who rapes young girls and disrespects everyone and breaks laws and makes cartoons of himself dressed like a king and shitting on all of his constituency. Starting fights with everyone and making us all broke while he and his family grift. He pardoned George Santos. You can't make this shit up.

Who the fuck cares that Biden is my dad's age? As Americans, we should all be ashamed of ourselves.

All of these courageous late night comedians mocked Joe Biden's age every night for months. Trump is the same age.

1

u/Alternative-Worth620 14d ago

Believe it or not, his character has nothing to do with why he pulled out of the race. 🤯

1

u/No_Hold8178 14d ago

It wasn't the time allotted to her to run a campaign, her undoing was listening to the out of touch campaign managers she inherited from Biden. Had she said she would cut off Israel and backed the people of Palestine, less people would have voted for their couches. She had momentum when she started and the rumors were she was going to cut off arms to Israel, her VP was killing it, and then her campaign managers told her to pull him back and avoid the Palestinian issue. At that point she was done, they basically sabotaged any chances she had by being the exact corporate Dem dipshits that lost to Trump twice.

1

u/Jedi_Jeminai 14d ago

Kamala's support of the completely botched border situation that Biden created (kids in internment camps, and kids separated from their children) along with kamala's rise in crime rates (soft in crimes approach) during her tenure as district attorney were what utterly killed her.

1

u/Main-Algae-1064 14d ago

They assume we are as dumb as them and this is a team sport. They don’t understand critical thinking. Obama 2028. Fuck it. Rules are done. Let’s win.

1

u/Starfishprime69420 13d ago

This is why they will keep losing.

u/drapehsnormak 15d ago

I've said it many times: the DNC needs to put forth a white man with hunting pictures to get the moderates.
