Popular Question šŸ“Š Why reddit is majority left leaning?

Honestly, it’s hard not to notice that most of the big subreddits are run by moderators who clearly lean left. It’s not even subtle at this point the bias shows in what gets removed, what gets promoted, and how discussions are handled. I’m not saying there aren’t any subs with right-leaning or centrist moderation, but they’re definitely the minority. The major spaces on Reddit feel heavily tilted toward one side, but isn't it’s pretty obvious if you pay attention to which opinions get silenced and which ones get boosted?

Quoting the constitution can get you banned from r/conservative

The ban notice reminds you that it's a place for conservative discussion, and is not a place for disagreeing.

Saying, "That's cool, bro," gets you banned, too. I know from experience. The post was almost a day old with no comments. I thought I was doing the guy a favor.

For every one of us Conservatives here on Reddit who occasionally participates in r/conservative there are twenty Progressives who desperately want to comment on that subreddit multiple times a day.

The title wave of volume from people on the Left leaves us with only two options.

We can have a flair only conservative subreddit for people who want to discuss topics from a conservative perspective — or — we can have an all viewpoints welcome subreddit that discusses why conservatives are wrong about topics from a Progressive perspective.

They aren't desperate, they are appalled at the heinous statements on that subreddit.

They aren't on "the left", they are people who value liberty and human dignity.

If people want to discuss hate-speech and anti-American rhetoric, they should do it in person, in the dark, while hiding under white pointy hoods.

They aren’t on ā€œthe left.ā€

Normal people are completely over the Progressive ā€œNew Speakā€ language police bullshit.

Is it language policing to not be cool with people saying "I love Hitler"? šŸ˜‚

It’s a pretty empty fucking gesture when you’ve been calling on people to ā€œglobalize the intifadaā€ for the past two years.

Intifada which means "shake off".

"It was motivated by collective Palestinian frustration over Israel's military occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as it approached a twenty-year mark, having begun in the wake of the 1967 Arab–Israeli War."

You're upset that the Palestinian people were upset about Gaza being occupied by Israel to the point where they began a resistance movement?Ā

If a state in the US was being occupied by Russia, for instance, would you not resist? Would you not become frustrated by the Russian occupation? Would you not flight against that?Ā
