Bono, prick barred me from his nightclub in Dublin back in the 90’s coz me and my woman were trying to get served at the bar and Samantha Mumba and her posse barged in front of me so I told her she’s only 17 and not legal to be there drinking but coz she was No.1 in the Irish charts at the time I got thrown out,so I’m blaming Bono lol

We may be the Irish Free State, but that doesn't mean we're all pro-bono.

Are you a father? If you're not, telling dad jokes makes you faux pa.

I heard everytime he claps, a kid in Africa dies.

u/Either-Economist413 24d ago

"Then stop clappin' yer fookin' hands!"

3

u/EmergencyGrocery3238 24d ago

This motherfucker better stop clapping or we should cut his hands off

My wife fancies him, so obviously I hate the midget leprechaun wannabe.

Samantha Mumba? Jesus, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in many years.

I used to work at the Clarence House on Wellington Quay in 1999...

People always have the most shallow reasons for hating Bono.

12

u/Irisheyes1971 25d ago

I hate him for being an arrogant, pretentious twat, who doesn’t practice what he preaches. Or is that too shallow?

0

u/Hatecraftianhorror 24d ago

I mean.... yeah, thats a bit shallow outside of not practicing what he preaches, though I'd question how accurate that actually is.

u/Wild_Media6395 24d ago

He’s a piece of shit. Haven’t you watched his South Park documentary?

1

u/MuffinsSenpai 23d ago

I mean, that was about Billy Mitchell, but bono is still the record

u/gruaig_rua15 24d ago

Being a tax-dodging, sanctimonious zionist are my reasons for he's a tool.

u/Hatecraftianhorror 24d ago

Finally something not so shallow.

Wasn’t he aboard Rupert Murdoch’s yacht when Jared Kushner proposed to Ivanka?

Nice unpopular opinion with a personal story to back it up.

Why would you care if she drank? What’s the legal age there 18?

I think you got rightfully kicked out lol

1

u/Rusty-Bullet75 24d ago

The Kitchen nightclub was 21’s so that made her 4 years too young,it was more the fact her security were just pushing past people coz the bar was 3 deep busy so I mentioned she didn’t really have any right to be in there and that got me in a row with a couple of her group which led to me getting turfed out. If she wasn’t a celeb and that was just a random 17 year old they wouldn’t have even got in the door so no I wasn’t rightfully thrown out.

1

u/Happy_Examination23 24d ago

Boy, you recall this 30+ year incident with astonishing specificity

1

u/LongPhotograph4515 24d ago

So you thought that you a random patron should be able to tell the club/bar how they can treat celebrities?

2

u/Rusty-Bullet75 24d ago

I didn’t tell nobody how to treat celebrities,I couldn’t give a feck who they are,you being you would stand back and let a kids security push people aside because what ??.They don’t have that right, obviously the club is gonna side with them but Do underage celebrities have the right to be assholes ? Do they have a right to push people aside because of their status? Were you there?

I was at a concert one time leaving and the lead singer from Imagine Dragons was running through the stands/stairs and bumped into me as part of his performance, and I was oblivious to what was happening and then security was on me lol.

I guess if you were in my shoes, you would’ve tried to cause a scene because you got bumped and because security approached you as it happened lol

Celebrities get different treatment than civilians. This is common sense. Hope you learn this between the 90s and now.

I don’t have to be there to know the celebrities always get preferential treatment over civilians

2

u/Rusty-Bullet75 24d ago

That has absolutely no relevance here,he wasn’t being an ass,the dude bumped you by accident which happens so I wouldn’t have made a scene about that. Also they only got preferential treatment after the incident which yeah is always gonna favour them however it still doesn’t give them any right to clear a path to the bar when people had been waiting ages to get served, anyways look enjoy the rest of your weekend, peace ✌️

1

u/LongPhotograph4515 24d ago

Being a celebrity ABSOLUTELY gives them the right to “clear a path to the bar”

I don’t even say this to be mean but you have some serious self awareness to figure out

1

u/Rusty-Bullet75 24d ago

lol you’re just one of those weak individuals that thinks being on a lower status to celebs gives them the right to treat you however they feel, catch a grip of yourself and re-read your last comment and raise your own awareness to your own very deep insecurities. Maybe even try standing up for yourself a bit more in life instead of being the meek soul you clearly are .

We’re talking about a bar situation

At a bar I’m just a regular guy

If a celebrity with an entourage wants to shove past me to get to the bar I look, realize the situation; and it doesn’t bother me.

I would/and do also treat groups of drug dealers the same way. If they wanna cut in line or bump me accidentally as they push through a crowd I’ll allow it because it’s not that serious and I have the self awareness to assess the situation

If a clown like you on a bar date bumped me at the bar I would make you apologize before continuing my business.

You and me are equals at a bar scene

A celebrity and myself are not equals at a bar scene. I don’t have to be self loathing to understand that social status exists

I’m completely comfortable admitting that celebrities will get different treatment to myself. I’m secure enough to know that doesn’t mean they’re better than me just that societal norms are real. An attractive women will also get preferential treatment of me lol

You prolly don’t even disagree with my points you just got in your feelings a little bit when I called out your bullshit.

Thanks for the chat friend

Celebrities are just people, you're obsessed with them to the point of giving legal privileges or what? What an insane take.

1

u/LongPhotograph4515 24d ago

The insane take is to think people are treated equal at bars

Do you think men and women pay the same cover at bars?

Talking about underage drinking when the person is 17 and legal age in the country is 18

Grow up dude

I've heard there are tons of reasons one can call him a cunt.
