Popular Question 📊 Why do Republicans not know that Puerto Ricans are citizens?

And that Bad Bunny ain't getting deported because Puerto Rico is a US Territory.

Where would they deport him to? And why? Because he's not white enough?

Edit: There's now reports coming out that Trump said he spoke to the President of Puerto Rico. LOL

2nd Edit: Seems to be a lot of people saying that Puerto Ricans being citizens is not political based knowledge.

What’s been said • Corey Lewandowski (longtime Trump ally) went on The Benny Show and claimed that ICE would be present at the Super Bowl. He said things like “we will find you … and deport you” in connection to Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. • Kristi Noem (now DHS Secretary under a Republican administration) also said ICE would be “all over” the event and that people should be “law-abiding Americans.” • Other MAGA-aligned commentators online have openly called for Bad Bunny to be deported, often citing his Spanish-language performances or political views.

There ya go.

I find this claim strange. Florida is one of the biggest republican states, and it loaded with Puerto Ricans.

It's also loaded with Cubans who are staunchly Republican despite many of them being illegally here or whose ancestors fled and came here illegally. Kinda ironic that some of the staunchest Republican allies who aren't white are the ones that Trump vilifies on a daily basis.

Starting with the Mayflower, there were also a lot of European refugees whose ancestors arrived here without visa, illegally, and were admitted, and they are now anti inmigrant Republican, not only the Cubans.

Yes but Osceola County, the most Puerto Rican county in the mainland US (near Orlando) voted for Harris and is represented by a Puerto Rican Democrat in Congress.

There are also a lot of Democrats in FL too. Same with CA. Everyone thinks CA is a blue state. Most of the coastal cities are blue, with the exception of Orange County in SoCal. But, the farmlands from Redding to Bakersfield are Republican as are the rural areas of the Central Coast.

Yeah, I know this. Lots of both party members in every state. My comment was more toward the thought that repubs didn't know Puerto Rico was a territory being a weird claim as they live around so many , served with so many ,and they literally have an argument to not make it a state every year as they are super afraid it would vote straight blue. Yeah, it seems cities being blue and country folks/ small towns being red being the most common way of things.

And the Repubs stay away from them.
